Love these bars

These are nasty and very thick, they take forever to chew down. I planned on buying the nature valley ones but they didn't have them at my local sams. I tried the chocolate one and had to force myself to finish it. I will say that this is my first time trying a protein bar so maybe i just have to get use to it. I'm not eating these just for fun but because my protein is low. I literally had to drink water with each bite to help break it down. It does taste so artificial, i'll finish this box and never buy again. I have the carnation chocolate protein drinks so i thought i'd give the bar a try. I'll stick to those instead. They're a little thick for me but i drink in big gulps so i can swallow those faster rather than dealing with the bars.

This is a great meal replacement when I am too busy to eat a real meal. I tried all three flavors in the box and they all taste like a yummy candy bar packed with protein. I like that there was no protein aftertaste. This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.

So gross. They smell terrible, and against my better judgement I decided to eat it anyway. Since I've never eaten dog food I am only speculating, but while trying to stomach a couple of bites all I could think of was how this tasted like what dog food smells like.

I can’t believe they still sell this garbage. I got food poisoning from one of these bars back in August 2023. I used to be a loyal customer and regularly bought Pure Protein products, but that was the last straw. The bar from that box tasted like straight vomit, completely disgusting. I reported it immediately, gave them the lot number as requested, and was told they’d investigate and get back to me. It’s now been over a year, and I have never heard a thing. Worst of all, when I first contacted support, I was basically laughed off. Zero accountability. It’s wild to me that these have good reviews. Have any of you actually looked at the ingredients? You’re basically eating synthetic trash. Straight up cardboard and diapers. Never again.

So disappointed! These are actually pretty good tasting and reasonably priced bars, but I just realized they contain bioengineered ingredients (Genetically modified organisms)!! You'll see a tiny disclosure on the box in the fine print. I'm so mad I've been eating these unknowingly as GMOs cause long term damage to our bodies, particularly our digestive systems and it won't be obvious why we have those issues. PURE - Do better and make these bars WITHOUT GMOs!!

Have been buying these for the past 2 years and have usually been the better protein bars but the last 2 boxes I've gotten (purchased at different times) have tasted disgusting. No matter what flavor you get, they taste like bile. Idk if the expiration date is wrong or there's a new ingredient or what but I'm disappointed these have turned into vomit bars. DO NOT RECOMMEND
