I have always used cast iron Pots and pans. However these are really beyond belief. With normal cat iron, you have to pay close attention as they are real prone to stick and/or burn. These have enamel coating and I couldn't believe my eyes when I got up with a distraction and my potato soup boiled over. I though it was truly gonna be a nightmare to get clean, if I even could. I used a wooden spoon to try and find it how damaged it was. My eyes literally bugged out when as I stirred the bottom at actual came off. The clean up was a breeze and believe it or not, the soup want scorched tasting. I think I'm gonna have a bowl in a bit. These are way more than I ever expected. Now I have the best of both worlds. Not only is my food tasting better and cooking faster, but the clean up is a breeze and there's no seasoning the pan to worry about. I don't have to put it on fire after cleaning to get all the moisture out of it so it doesn't dust. Whoever came up with these, .....thank you sooooo very much.

Really well made product at a great price over comparable Dutch ovens elsewhere. Good sized bottom surface but still fits on my largest ceramic cooktop burner in the front. Yes it is heavy as all of the larger ones are. I got mine in a purple eggplant color and I am quite happy with how it heats up and maintains heat cooking at a simmer even when I lower the burner temperature. Made a large pot of Bolognese sauce with meatballs in it and it cleaned up pretty easily. Great for stews and slow braising larger roasts with vegetables. Can go into the oven after searing meats or sautéing vegetables for longer braising times. Just keep a level of liquid in it to avoid scorching the bottom.

Love this pot ..the teal is beautiful. Used it once already at very high heat and it worked like a dream and cleaned up perfectly. Bought another as a gift, and plan on buying more for my family. I own a LeCruset pot and this is as nice if not better for 1/4 the price.

Didn't buy this for myself, so hard to review. Looks very nice (just a couple small blemishes in the finish that hopefully won't affect its use). Very heavy. I did read comments about oiling the exposed cast iron, so he's done that. Don't think he's used it yet, as it will be a new experience. Need to find a good recipe for him to try with it. I'd get one for myself if I had room to store it without worrying about damaging it.

Just what I wanted, I have wanted a Dutch oven for a while. I found this one on sale on Sams website, and couldn’t be happier. My first meal I cooked came out perfect as well as the following Ones. If you are a cook with stews,breads, and veggies, you will love how well your meals come out.

I wanted an oval shaped cast iron roaster. From the photo online, this looked just right. Plus there were many colors from which to choose! That was a big plus! I was very disappointed to see when it arrived that it was round! I went back online to look again, it wasn’t obvious. And I didn’t see it stated just what shape it was. So, I returned it.

I love cooking in a Dutch oven. I have a Le Creuset and this by Tramontina and they both perform exceptionallt well. I have had the le Creuset for 12-13 years now, and the Tramontina I was a recent gift, so time will tell how it holds up. I love it! Wish they made a bigger size!

Dutch Ovens are the best pot in your kitchen and it often becomes a family heirloom. I purchase this Dutch Oven in Teal Blue and it is a beautiful as the picture. This oven was a gift to someone new to cooking. The wonderful things people discovered while staying at home…”Cooking you say…what is that?” One meal out of the Dutch Oven and suddenly they’re a Chef…. funny what an oven will do. It currently gets used every Sunday and I get to hear all about the tender roast, the moist chicken, spare ribs, etc. For those buying the Instant Pot great appliance (I recently purchased) HOWEVER the Dutch provides the same tenderness and the overall cooking times are the same. You can also open it if you want add seasoning, check it see if you need to add more time or not, and it can be opened right away. The only time I would not recommend a Dutch oven is if you can not lift beyond 10lbs from the oven and I would caution seniors to get a smaller one due to the weight. It also gets EXTREMLY Hot so be cautious. Other than that I absolutely love my Dutch oven and as for the cast iron skillet...its not a myth cast iron skillets are the best skillet you will ever buy.

I have been looking for a long time to find a Dutch oven that is substantial in size and quality at a great value. I was concerned when I first saw this having to order sight unseen, however was so pleased when it arrived. It is not only extremely well made but it has a beautiful finish as well. I have already used it several times and love the results. Definitely would recommend.

Mine was perfect out of the box, no chips no nicks. For the price it's absolutely fantastic. It's a big pot at 7qt, and it does perfectly exactly what I bought it for. Deep frying. It's 1/15th the cost of Le Creuset, and 1/10th the cost of Lodge USA. I'm very happy with it and I'll treat it as nicely as I would the other two. French fries are a pleasure to make in this thing and the sides are so tall there's no mess on my stovetop.
