I love this dutch oven but the lid on it is so heavy I wish I would of checked it out in the store before I had it shipped I wouldn't of bought it but it's a beautiful dutch oven. I wish they would put in the ads when something is heavy when you go to buy it just so people know. It's not like I live 5 miles from Sam's I live 40 miles from there but I will keep it because I do like it I just don't like the lid. I bought 2 of these...

I bought this for my daughter who had mentioned that she would like to have a Dutch oven. They were so much money that she didn't want to spend that much. They were way over $100.00. I saw this on the site. It was a great price and nice colors so I sent her one. She was thrilled! She kept saying how nice it was and the dark gray was really pretty. Little did she know that I had spent much less than she thought. She is hard to please and this was a big hit! Sam's does it again, quality without the high price.

I bought this online and it arrived in 2 or 3 days. So I washed it and made chicken potpie (rolled out dough) The cast iron is all that I can think of as to why this batch of chicken potpie was so much better. I doubled the recipe and it was a good think that I did. This heats evenly, the lid fits tightly and yet allows a small venting. Clean up was so easy. And I really do mean easy. The Dutch Oven is HEAVY. But they all are very heavy. And my age and a really damaged wrist, hand didn't make things any easier. But I had my husband hold one side and I held the other to dump into the serving bowl, though it could have easily been served right out of the oven itself. As a matter of fact I am making chicken pot pie again tomorrow and after that Julia Child's Boeuf Bourguignon. I have made it many, many times but not in a cast iron dutch oven. It's a time consuming dish to make but I'm very anxious to see how this new dutch oven works. I think it's wonderful. And the price is really excellent. Give it a try and Bon Appetit!

Mine was perfect out of the box, no chips no nicks. For the price it's absolutely fantastic. It's a big pot at 7qt, and it does perfectly exactly what I bought it for. Deep frying. It's 1/15th the cost of Le Creuset, and 1/10th the cost of Lodge USA. I'm very happy with it and I'll treat it as nicely as I would the other two. French fries are a pleasure to make in this thing and the sides are so tall there's no mess on my stovetop.

I have had this dutch oven for a few years and recently purchased one for my daughter. I don't know how I got along without it before that. It is excellent for roasting, braising, stews, and as a bread baker. Clean up is easy even with baked on messes. Every cook should have one of these and at this low price there is no reason they shouldn't.

I bought this as a gift for my sister. I purchased one two years ago for our mother and ever since she has coveted it. Mama uses it all the time and loves the heavy duty pot that can go from stovetop to oven seamlessly. It is a great addition to any cook's arsenal.

This pot is a good heavy soup/stick pot. I’ve only used it a few times since purchasing so I can’t speak to durability. But it heats nice, and the 2 soups and few other dishes came out great. I will say, I ordered the purple, and The actual color is very different than that in the picture. It’s not bad, but definitely more of a raspberry than a dark purple. And that’s why my review is 4 stars.

I purchased one for myself, I did not want to spend tons of money on a big name brand. Love it! Perfect family size. I was given the advice to place the bottom from a coffee can ( large use can opener ) on the burner to keep the bottom from scorching. It worked great and distributes the heat very well. I loved it so much, I ordered my sister one for Christmas!

Love this pot. Wonderful for the holidays and any family gatherings. Prepare lots of food in this 7 quart pot. Cooks beautiful, food umm umm good and easy clean up. Think this may be to big for your family, think again. Once friends and family know your cooking, your house may seems to little as they gather. Good food, family and friends, what’s better.

I bought this as a gift last Christmas and the person I bought this for just loves it and uses it all the time. I thought to myself why didn't I buy one for me. So this year it was my turn. Love the red. Shipping was fast, plus the size is great and most important is the cost, it compares to those high end ones and no one would ever know.
