Love it

Purchased as a gift, recipient loves it and sings its praises frequently. She had wanted a Dutch oven of this sort but was unwilling to invest in the several top of the line brands. Saw this at the club, got it for her, now I am a super hero. Not bad. Certainly heavy enough with attractive finish. No complaints yet about hot spots or difficulty cleaning. Seems like a good value for a versatile kitchen tool.

I purchased my Dutch oven & purchased one for my sister. I love my Dutch oven suede several times. I ended up with a couple of inside chips so not sure if anyone used any metal flatware. Returned to Sam’s to replace but not a ditch oven on the floor. I had mo problem returning. I am hoping that the price drops so that I can order replace. I only paid $39 so I may suck it up and pay for $49. Please share feed back back on how to season.

I ordered this lovely Tramontina Enameled Cast Iron 6 quart Dutch oven after seeing it in a Sam’s Club flyer. I’ve been wanting a La Crusette for a long time but thought it was quite expensive. My Dutch oven arrived quickly and in sufficient packaging. Iimmediately made a pot of chili. I fried up some flounder this morning. So far, I am very pleased with my purchase. I plan on investing in a pan in the near future.

Really disappointed in this Dutch oven. I’ve only had it about 1 1/2 years, and haven’t used it a whole lot, and so far it’s chipped twice. The first time was a very small chip on the lid, and I remember bumping it on something. Today it chipped again, a fairly good sized piece from the bottom of the pot. I don’t even know how it happened. I think I will have to replace it, because the chip looks like it will get even bigger. Not happy at all.

I bought this a few weeks ago and am so happy I did. I made an almost 4-pound pot roast in this pan from the braising on the stovetop to the low cooking in the oven, and that meat was delicious and fell apart easily (Chewing not required). The pan is heavy, and it has a good seal on it, that when in the oven, the roast continued to cook and steam, despite the lower temperatures I was using. I know this will be my go to pot for chili and beef stew and any other large meals I make for my family. And you will be proud to own this dish, for it is beautiful. I got the dark green one with a gold top.

Having had this for less than a month, so far I've used it over 5 different times, and love it! Each time I've used the dutch oven, it's fast cooking, creates very moist, flavor-infused dishes, and my family loves it! The "one-pot" dishes I've made so far are always evenly cooked, hot and ready to go. Cleanup is a bit different than what I'm used to with my other Tramontina cookware but I'm sure I'll get used to this one as well over time. Overall, great item, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I bought mine 3 years ago. I just now noticed chips in the enamel. I called Tramotina. All they asked for were pictures to be emailed. I did. The next day I got a reply asking for my address so they could send me a new one. Now that is a great company. It is a great piece of cookware. Maintains heat evenly and cleans up like a dream. Only bad thing, which is actually means it is good, it is heavy.
