We bought this last fall and it is beautiful! Gorgeous stain color and easy assembly with the BILT app!! It has transformed the entire feel of our backyard space! Plus the company is so amazing and responsive! We bought another version in white galvanized steel for our lake house and it is amazing too! Great value for your money!

We took delivery of the 12 x 10 cedar pergola kit in early June. From start to finish, the process has been positive and the end result is the creation of a new peaceful place! Ordering was very simple, delivery arrived a day sooner than expected. The kit came in two boxes. Before assembling, we used a protective sealant. Easy to assemble, quality construction, quality hardware, excellent, easy-to-follow instructions. We added a removable light-filtering tarp on the roof for protection from the mid-day sun, and solar-powered lights on the inside ceiling. We absolutely love the addition to our outdoor space!

I wish I had looked into getting one of these sooner. I debated on whether to pay for assembly or not and went without, and it was not hard for my husband and I to assemble it ourselves. Now we and our whole family spend a lot of time out there. We do game nights, meals, hanging out. I was a bit worried about it during some storms but it wasn’t impacted at all.

The product itself seems to be a great product, but the included assembly through Go Configure leaves a lot to be desired. A piece was broken during transport, so I was left with a partially constructed pergola on my patio and the team on site said they had to report to their supervisor. The supervisor of the local company submitted the report and GoConfigure sends me an email saying their team had to "investigate" this which generally takes two business days, starting Friday over a Holiday weekend. When I called for more details I was told they could not give me any timeframe, because Go Configure is a separate company than Backyard Discovery (despite their name and number appearing on the cardboard boxes the pergola came in.) Backyard Discovery had previously been very helpful and so I chose to call them directly. They immediately noticed my order and prior registration and told me they would FedEx me the broken part and it would arrive in 2-4 days. Honestly I'm furious because if I had called the manufacturer the day we found it was broken I could have finished this myself and gotten to enjoy the pergola for at least half of my holiday weekend, rather than watching the pieces left in my lawn slowly kill my grass. Good product, great manufacturer service from Backyard Discovery, but terrible customer service from Go Configure.

I bought this 16x12 set and put it up very easily between my wife and I with no other help. Instructions were precise and everything lined up. Only disappointment were the cement screws they gave me in the hardware box. 3 out of the first 4 snapped off while screwing them into the predrilled holes in the concrete. I stopped immediately and drove to the hardware store and purchased Tapcon cement scres of same size. it went smoothly with the new screws. It looks awesome!

Very happy. I put it together myself in an afternoon. Am I Impact driver and 10 Topo Chicos later and it’s up and beautiful. Very happy with the quality and details. Construction couldn’t have been more straight forward. Very happy - would buy again.

I bought the 16x12 Beaumont Pergola in June and it really completed my backyard. My bottler and 14 year old put it together in a few hours. The directions were self explanatory, which made the installation process smooth. I was worried I got the wrong size, but couldn't be happier with my choice. My backyard gets quite a bit of sun, so the pergola provided the right amount of shade for us to relax as a family. I would highly highly recommend backyard discovery, if you're thinking about getting a pergola. I have absolutely no regrets with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It all started because I needed a place to mount some solar panels. Skipping ahead (past a flimsy aluminum pergola that failed in the strong winds), I came across a 12X16 cedar pergola kit that seemed too good to be true. It wasn't! So after spreading out all the fragrant cedar pieces under my carport, I set about learning how to pour cement piers so I could transform an unused portion of my backyard into a relaxing home vacation spot. The instruction book was concise and easy to follow. All of the hardware was included, even with a few spares. The wood pieces were all cut perfectly. Only a couple of the top boards were warped, but by carefully tightening their bolts all the warp disappeared. I could have easily called for replacements, but didn't need to. When I first looked at all the parts and my untidy dirt area, I was skeptical. But carefully going through the instructions I was able to build this beautiful wooden pergola for which I constantly get compliments. As you can see, I have not even built a deck or poured a slab yet, but it is already being enjoyed. Oh yes, and those 4 heavy 400 watt solar panels that started it all now rest neatly on top, providing shade and free power. It's the good life!

We bought this pergola last May, my husband installed it mostly by himself, I only helped him to carry the heavy posts to the footings. Before purchasing this pergola, I had been shopping for a pergola for years. When I saw this online, I was drawn by its size and quality, think that it will elevate our backyard, and we both just completed our master's degrees so I bought it as our graduation gift. The delivery took about two weeks to arrive, the crews unloaded the four packages in our covered porch. As recommended by some of the reviews, my husband read the instructions thoroughly, sort through all the pieces and group them. He poured 6 footings that is 16”wide x16” long x18” deep for stability. The installation of the pergola took him about two weekend days. It is absolutely gorgeous. We are very happy with this purchase.
