Took my wife and I about 4 hours. Instructions are easy to follow. I was truly impressed with the way it went together. All the pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly. It looks great too. I can’t express how well “machined” all of the parts were. Sometimes, assemblies can be frustrating. Not this one. It was actually enjoyable, to some degree. We are happy with it. Hopefully, it holds up through the seasons.

I am not one who usually writes reviews for items that I buy. But I want anyone who is thinking about this product to feel assured it will far exceed your expectations. I am thrilled with this pergola. It has added so much to our backyard. countless compliments from everyone who sees it. the quality of the wood and fasteners is top notch. . The ease of assembly is not often found in todays products. I would highly recommend this company for their customer service is very responsive and polite.

Pros: Great wood, durable hardware, good design. Very solid. Extra hardware. Cons: Plastic caps on top of four set posts leave 1/8" gap so that brace boards are unable to have bolds and nuts be threaded through - too much space. We tried cutting some of the edges and ultimately discarded the caps. Instructions not detailed enough to explain that two of four brace boards have a row of holes along their top (for the lattice) and need to be placed on outside of the two that lack holes. Probably should have had an extra page in the instructions for this or give the boards with holes a separate number. Neutral: Plastic base plates too flimsy for Florida hurricanes. We used steal base plates that worked well. Interior of set post are not solid cedar, but ripped pine 2x4s. However, cedar overlay done very well - looks like solid cedar. Wish the brace boards were 14' long w/o extensions, but shorter boards with extensions seems to work. Really need three people for this construction, not two.

This is a two person project and was completed in under 8 hours. Everything piece of wood is labeled, including the screws. Instructions are easy to follow and downloadable app with instructions and 3d visuals ensure you move from step to step with confidence and ease! The finished product is beautiful and makes a big statement!!

I used the optional assembly service and that was frustrating. They went thru several people trying to get it assembled, finally on try #6 we got it done but I wasted a lot of time from work going home just to have nobody show up. It's large and bulky to assemble so trying to do it by myself wasn't really an option. But overall the pergola itself is great. Only complaint is it feels short to me, I wish it was a foot taller

I purchased and installed Beaumont Cedar Pergola on my backyard deck. The pergola has added a whole new dimension to the deck and its usefulness. The cedar wood was high quality and smells great. We have been waiting for years to create a patio space and this pergola is everything we could have hoped for! We absolutely love the aesthetic; it was straightforward to assemble; and it fit within our budget! We wanted one that could withstand high winds. Pergola shipped and arrived within a week of ordering. Discovered a joist missing during assembly. Called customer service and they had a replacement on it's way in two days. Assembly was fairly straightforward but I recommend taking inventory of your parts, having a drill to fine tune pilot holes, and run all the nuts down the bolts prior to assembly. The coating tends to muck the threads up, making them useless. There were extras, but not many. I also ordered some stain as there are alot of touch-ups needed from shipping and assembly. Instructions were ok but take some time to understand so you avoid having to undo steps. It went together more or less as advertised. Added lights and it looks fantastic! .l

I finally bought this pergola and my husband and sons put it together and it looked beautiful.... for a while. I put a green metal roof on mine because it sits around trees. Still beautiful, but the woodpeckers LOVE this wood. I have holes everywhere even with a fake owl and a wind chime. Then one fall day, a tree branch came down and smashed one side. My husband says he can repair it. I had ceramic tile and lights under the top and loved its look. Hope it can be rehabbed. Good purchase if found on a deal. Woodpeckers will destroy it.

Staycation is my back yard. I regret waiting to many years before I added the Backyard Discovery Pergola to my backyard. It’s created a living space I’ve never had in my own yard. My contractor was hesitant when he say the boxes. But I arrived back at noon and it was completed. He said the construction was high quality, instructions were easy. In fact he has recommended and installed several Backyard Disciry Pergolas after his experience with mine. My only regret- not purchasing it sooner. Thank you
