Doesn’t do throw rugs

The Dyson is lightweight to use which makes it easy to use. Disappointed that the vacuum does not work on throw rugs. The vacuum shuts off and pulls rug up. There does not seem to be a good suction when moving from hardwood floor to rug. Not getting all the crumbs on the floor. Overall I would rate this as average.

This vacuum is a game changer. I was worried I wouldn't like it due to some mixed reviews but this is definitely what I needed for my one bedroom apartment. It does an excellent job cleaning on both carpet and hardwood floors and it is especially great at getting small particles out of my carpet. Assembly is very easy and cleaning it is a breeze. It is very lightweight and yes the battery doesn't last for long use but this is meant to be an everyday use vacuum, just like you would a broom.

Great vacuum for seniors

Great vacuum for seniors. I am 75 year old senior with 2 Schnauzer dogs who lives in my daughter’s home. I wanted a vacuum to keep up my 2 room living area, This Dyson is perfect. There are no cords, so no trip hazard for me. It is lightweight, easy to store and ready to use. I use it daily to keep up with the dog hair and it empties out without having to remove any parts. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Waste of money!

This is a nice handy vacuum, but the battery is just terrible. I can’t even use for 20 mins and it’s dead. Don’t like the fact that handle is so close to battery. Also, it’s not convenient to hold ON button the whole time. Unfortunately, I requested replacement, and if I have the same problem with new vacuum, I will just return it. It’s too expensive to have all these problems.

The vacuum came in pieces with no instructions and no diagram to follow, utterly ridiculous. The web site and video recommended were totally unhelpful. Yes, I was eventually able to figure it out, but considering the price of the product, I expected more.

Great concept

The machine is a great concept. I actually use it quite a bit because it is handy. What I did notice though is the battery life is greatly shortened to a ridiculous time of use. It also takes a long time to charge, that could be improved. Lastly, The trigger used to power it is a bad concept. I'm a grown man and it still made my finger tired from holding that trigger down. It is also not making contact inside the handle because have to pull it twice sometimes to get it to power on.

Super handy device for quick clean up. Strong suction & excellent maneuverability. Gets edges and lays down to get under furniture. Must hold down trigger for it to run. It’s one downfall is battery life. I like to keep it on maximum suction so I runs out in 12-15 minutes on hardwoods/tile…Carpet even faster. I am keeping it because I plan to use it for quick clean ups and it works so well.

Horrible Battery Life

Extremely short battery life. I needed something to last last maybe 20/30 min. And it made it 8, on minimum. I had to return it, I couldn’t imagine spending $300 on a vacuum that I couldn’t use to clean my couches after vacuuming 2 rugs (ON MINIMUM). I have it a few days but it died in the midst of a cleaning every time. I also hated the fact there was option to hold down the trigger button. I bought a tineco for 60$ on clearance at Walmart and it’s a million times better, longer battery life, and it has not died in the midst of a clean. Plus it has the trigger and easy open canister.

Not What You Expect Fom A Dyson Product

Plain and simple I have always been widely impressed by any product made by Dyson. Unfortunately this product is extremely underwhelming has very little suction power and just isn’t what we thought it would be, unfortunately, we use the machine and broke it. We are not upset with Sam’s Club at all. You are a wonderful organization. We just made a bad purchase that’s all we have made many many good purchases from Sam’s Club, and are very happy members.

I was thrilled when I got this vacuum, then I realized after I put it together that the ON button had to be pushed on the whole time using. I have arthritis in my hands and it became very painful after I vacuumed just my living room which is a small room. Dyson only sells vacuums with the on button continually on at a price of over 900 dollars.
