- 3 out of 5 stars review3/7/2026These are HUGE. Make sure to meausre before you buy. I never expected them to be so big they wouldn't fit in my cupboard, but that's what happened. Lol. Due to the size, they're also quite heavy, so using them while cooking could be slightly challenging at times. Otherwise, they're very pretty if you want giant mills.

The first issue was wood particles showing up with the salt--the inside is just hollowed out but not sanded smooth, therefore the wood grain is rough, and the sea salt loosens the grains which then show up in your food. Not cool. Next, the pepper grinder completely fell apart into the pot while I was cooking dinner -- hardware parts & pieces plus *all* those pepper grounds... Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that this grinder set is moreso just for "looks" otherwise they are cheaply made. Very disappointed with this purchase.
Quality issues
BStrickland - 1 out of 5 stars review11/22/2023The top doesn't screw on. It pulls off. Make sure you don't pick it up by the top half!!! Also, the inside of mine has rough wood that's flaking off. It's completely unfinished and rough inside. So much so that the wood slivers come off in the salt and pepper corns. I had to completely dump my salt grinder to get a piece of the wood out that was stuck in the grinder. I'm really disappointed because I love the way they look. I'll be returning mine due to the high probability that wood slivers will end up in the grinder again or our food.

Moms - 2 out of 5 stars review7/8/2024The pepper grinder works beautifully. We typically use pepper more frequently than salt so we did not notice that the salt grinder top was stripped. The salt grinder will not turn to grind the salt. We already disposed of the box so we are stuck with the inoperable grinder.

I was a little weary to buy them after some of the reviews but I found that they were extremely simple to use (even without instructions) and had not problem filling them or removing the lid.
