Taste fresh

It's frozen broccoli, but it's really good frozen broccoli. No stems mixed in, all florets. It also really does taste about as close to fresh as you can get without actually making fresh broccoli. I usually microwave it, but sometimes I microwave it and then add some ghee and saute it a bit. It's delicious and tender. This is something I always buy when I'm at Sam's.

Made my stomach ache so bad I threw them out

I bought these for the convenience as my toddler loves broccoli. I placed them in my air fryer oven to "thaw" then after 10 minutes I season them and finish roasting for another 5-8 minutes. I ate the first bag and noticed my little guy wouldn't touch them. Within the hour my stomach started hurting 😫. I didn't realize that it was the broccoli until I cooked the second bag . Same exact thing happened and my stomach hurt for hours after I'm used to eating tons of fiber so that's not the issue, something is wrong with this batch of broccoli. I threw the rest away. I assume the ice around the crowns masked the fact that they were bad, and I had covid recently and can't smell anything so I probably would have smelled it.

Good quality, but only 12 oz net per 16 oz bag.

We've been buying the same/similar product for several years. The quality is typically good. Recently, my son indicated that he thought there was less in the bag. I got out the kitchen scale. Each frozen bag does in fact weigh a little over 16 oz. However, once you cook and drain, you're left with right around 12 oz. They must add water for the 'steam in bag' effect. I suspect they added more water with the latest revamp. From a value perspective, Sam's Club sells fresh broccoli for less per pound.

Found bugs, twice.

Found small caterpillar like bugs in this broccoli twice, several years apart. Figured it was a fluke after the first time & eventually gave it another try. I regret it. Steamed a bag & was in the middle of eating it (with just light mozzarella melted onto it), when I saw another bug that looked identical to the one from years ago. It totally disgusts me. I have pictures to prove it.

Best frozen broccoli florets ever!

This MM frozen broccoli florets is superior to any others that I have tried, even the pricier brands in the grocery stores. My chief complaint with the others is that the package is nearly half chunks of stalk parts... not what you would expect from the packaging that states broccoli florets. I just opened Sam's with delight when I only see florets... absolutely no chunks or even small pieces of just stalk. Love this product!!!

WORMS

A few months ago, I found some broccoli worms (dead of course) clinging to the broccoli stems after I steamed it. I chalked it up to a one-off issue. But I recently purchased this again and in all four bags I’m seeing dozens of broccoli worms in the cooked product. Disgusting…. Won’t be buying again.

Broccoli great. Cooking process not so great!

The product is good but the packaging and steam cooking is not. I cook/steam in bags regularly and never have a puddle of water (1/4 C) remaining in the bag after cooking, except with this product. Today the seam split while cooking and the puddle of hot water poured out of the bag and onto the counter and floor. I will be returning to my Walmart Great Value steam-in-bag broccoli.

worms

Let me start off by putting here I get disgusted easily so you can just imagen. Worms, worms worms I will NOT re purchase. More that half had a worm or 2. Yes I look at my food before eating/cooking it and this made me really sick. I have trust issues with frozen food now.

Do Not Buy! had Spinach pieces in it!

no longer will purchase. quality downhill. 3 bags and all had other mystery veggie pieces in it . looked like spinach scraps ? off the floor or something? returned and will never buy again. not sure where sams is sourcing their veggies. wish I took photos. I never write reviews but was warranted for the quality gone down hill. Problems now with the veggie medley too.
