Traction counts

I purchased Michelin LTXA/T2 tires to replace the factory tires on my Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel . I could never trust the original equipment tires as they would loose traction on wet roads , in turns and at starting on on ramps merging in traffic.. I have had no issues with the Michlelins they are great and give you that confidence on wet or dry roads.

Best Tires I have had on this truck

I have a 2008 F350 Crew Cab 4X4 and have had 2 other tire brands on this truck so far. I had the Michelins installed in March and immediately noticed that they are the quietest and smoothest riding tires that I have ever had. I have put over 10K miles on them since installation and have not had an issue with them at all. I had them rotated this week annd still have 14/32 tread on them. I have driven in mud, dirt roads, wet and dry road conditions and love these tires.

I mounted a set of these ...

I mounted a set of these after finally reaching the end of service life (tread wear) on a set of LTX A/Ts. I must say that I don't like these A/T2s quite as much as their predecessor. It seems to me that tire maintenance is more critical with the A/T2; shorter alignment/balance interval keeps tread wear in check. The tread pattern seems to be a little less aggressive as "self-cleaning/clearing" off road is a bit more difficult. I have owned a few different brands of A/Ts for my '97 Dodge Ram 2500. I without hesitation recommend the LTX AT2 for any light truck application. I tow a 12,000 lb 5th wheel with regularity and the 8-ply construction of these tires are outstanding! With or without that trailer, I have 80,000 miles on my current set of A/T2s running in dry and wet pavement, snow, slush, off-road on some seriously nasty trails..... this is a very dependable tire that resists hydroplaning, provides a smooth, quiet ride and are now the only brand and model of tire I'll use on my truck. I honestly think that the LTX A/T2 may be the finest all terrain light truck tire manufactured today.

Great handling but terrible wear

My Ford F-250 diesel Super Duty came with these tires from the factory and after about 32k miles I am needing to replace them because of not having much tread left on them. The handling of these tires was very good for a heavy pickup on highway and city. The most offroad these tires saw was a little bit of grass pulling a car trailer, where the tires slipped if the grass was wet. The tires do great in the snow with the proper ballast in the bed of the truck and did very well with light plowing when new. The tires are quiet compared to every other AT tire I have had on other vehicles. I would not recommend these tires.

Tries that will take you anywhere

The best shoes for my SUV, on or off the road. These tires love rocks, dirt, and of course mud. Can go right back to paved streets and work great there too, leaving the muddy trail. When it is raining the water is just moved out of my way, and throw on the car behind me. I have noticed that if someone follows to close, their windshield wipers are going very fast. Not to mention how great they look on the SUV, very sporty. My SUV thanks you for making a great tire.

Not a snow tire

These tires came OEM on my Ford F-250. Have over 9,000 miles on them. They are wearing very well. No perceptible road noise, and handle/ride well. Gravel road performance is as good as could be hoped. However, I live in Montana and it snows. Performance in the snow is not where I'd like it. Michelin says "acceptable traction in regions with light winter weather." I'd say that is exactly true. But, in regions with heavy winter weather the traction is not the best. My neighbor made the same observation. He has a different set for winter and runs these in the late Spring through early Fall.

97,000 and Still Going

2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually 4x4, Rotated regularly, just looked up the milage since it seemed like it had been awhile and at 97,250 miles the tread is just now starting to get down to the wear bars. Highway miles mostly as I would not want to test the mud traction on this heavy beast, but rain and snow have been fantastic. Will definitely buy Michelin again.

what a tire should be

My truck tires use to slip at the boat dock as I would take my bass boat out of the water. With my ltx m/s2 tires, this does not happen. Smooth quite rideto get to my ddestination as well. They may cost a few pennys more, but in the long run safety, reliability, and durability are well worth it.

One Tough Tire

I just returned from two weeks in the "outback" of Humboldt county California. I drove my Sequoia 4X4 without reservations on roads only sheep and cattle would go. On the return trip home, I then drove at freeway speeds without any issues what so ever. This Michelin has proven to be one of the best tires I've ever had on a vehicle, for both off road comfort and safety, and freeway endurance. Highly recommended, especially for the price. Ready to cross rivers now! Sincerely, riversongwriter.

GREAT TIRE.....

I drive a 2005 Chevy Silverado 4x4 that I put a set of 285/70/17 LTX A/T2 and I have been very pleased with these tires. I have 216,000 miles on my truck, so it is a driver. I live in western NC and these tires have preformed well better than expected with the past couple of snowy winters that we have had and they have never left me stranded. They are smooth, comfortable and quiet on the highway. I hunt a few places that are quite muddy when the rain shows up and they have never let me down or stuck going off road as well. I have turned several of my hunting buddies on to these tires. For a all around tire for on and off road you could not go wrong with these tires. I have got about 32,000 miles on these right now and with the proper rotation that I do, I expect another 30 or even 40,000 miles or better out of them. GREAT TIRE...
