Just on flavor and texture, it's the best. It's comfort food and has an addicting quality about it. Do yourself a favor and don't judge it by the look coming out of the can, it's just paste when you open it up. Heat it up and taste a bowl. I think you'll change your mind. I did. You can always add some beef if you want chunks of meat, or add beans which sounds counterintuitive, but it's not. I'm glad to see Sam's has the big cans, but I wish it provided an increased value. It doesn't. They sell the 15 oz cans too at the same price per ounce, so the big can isn't a deal here. It's only good if you are cooking for a crowd.

Have to doctor it up a little with ketchup, salt & pepper but then it was pretty tasty

Nope. I've tried all the quick heat up cans of chili. They all have that mushy texture you find in refried beans. They all taste pasty like canned tomaIi's. I love chili dogs, and everywhere I buy chili dogs when I go out are meaty and not mushy. (A%26W, Checkers/Rallys, Dairy Queen, etc) They buy the chili dog sauce and just heat it up. Can't figure out why I cant buy something similar at the store. Nope this Wolf Chili is a no go for me.

picked this up cause of the reviews and wanted to cheat from making homemade chilli. while I was cooking I thought one of my teens decided to try up smoking cigarettes. It soon dawned on me after racing.down ready to tear into some back hides that it was not them but the chilli warning up on the stove. I shrugged it off thinking it must be pregnancy hormones. Then we all sat down to eat it and by had the smell of cigarettes would be tasted. My kids and husband even thought the same. Needless to say it got thrown out. husband and I both came from a smoking home while we do not smoke yet the memory of it was there with the ashtray chilli. if you like the smell of cigs this is for you. otherwise stay away
