Biggest regret ever, got this instead of replacing the dyson cordless stick vac U had for years. The power suction is weak, even with extra trigger pull. The system is awkward and fumbly and constantly falls over while not in use. Unfortunately returns to sams are difficult so I'm stuck with it.

If you’ve had a Dyson that served you well, the Shark will disappoint on hard surfaces. Worked well on carpet the first time out, so I was excited to try on the hardwood. Had to leave on carpet suction settings to pick up crumbs in the kitchen and it would not pick up the cat food pieces until I switched to the handheld. And then I had to use max power and suck them up one by one. May work fine for some, but not my cup of tea! I am going back to a Dyson.

I have had it for 3 weeks. Up to now it is pretty nice. I live in a small apartment, and this is perfect. It does not have the strength of my corded vacuum, but it is pretty good. Best part... does not have a cord, easy to use and the price was right. I am really enjoying vacuuming with this vacuum. I gave it four stars because I have only had it for 3 weeks and don't know how it will work in 6 months or so.

Lightweight & easy to use but battery life is only 20-30 minutes -- cannot get to all my hardwood floors at one time. BUT, while the roller brush does not get clogged much, the tubing behind the roller has to be periodically cleaned. You can tell when the vacuum no longer picks anything up (actually spits it out). You then have to take the whole bottom roller unit apart with a screw driver to clean & clear!

Pro is it's cordless and holds a charge for a couple rooms worth of deep cleaning. Cons are just several design disappointments. I previously used a shark corded rocket stick so that's what I'm comparing to. 1-top disconnects to stow on base but it's easy to miss and usually takes a couple attempts. 2-used to be able to disconnect from base easily with foot to hit corners, with this, I have to reach down and push the release by hand. 3-no light the top section which would be helpful for reaching up in corners and on stairs. 4-overall sections have a lot of give at connecting points, makes overall system feel cheap and loose. Overall, I'm unsure I'd purchase again. Cordless element is nice but not worth all the other drawbacks.

I ended up returning this for several reasons. First I was replacing a black and decker cordless pet vac which I had for 3 years but needed a new battery so instead I opted to try a shark. When I get it I noticed it doesn’t have a wall mount. And it won’t ever have one since this model doesn’t have the option at all. I LOVE wall mounted cordless vacuums. It also has no exposed battery for easy swapping. It has to be plugged in each time and it won’t stand on its own so it just kind of lays over on the washing machine. Emptying the bin meant I had to push on the latch to reattach the bottom since it didn’t just latch like it was supposed to. It also has a tiny tiny dust cup. I tried it for a few weeks and hated it enough to send it back and buy a new black and decker wall mounted pet vac.

So far I really like it. Nice to pull out for quick touch ups in between regular cleanings.
