Waste of $250!!!
DO NOT BUY THE NEW SHARK CORDLESS VACUUM!! 0 out of 5 stars Someone vacuumed up water with my trusty shark cordless and ruined it. I really liked that vacuum. I bought the newer version thinking it would be similar. It is NOT! I paid $100 more than the last version of the shark cordless i bought and they made this one cheap and plain worthless. I vacuumed my livingroom and one bedroom and it's clogged. I had to take it apart and remove debris with a long stick. There is lack of suction compared to my older model. It doesn't get close to baseboards at all either. The vacuum head is also not as wide so you'll need to make more passes. It has to be stored taken apart. The older version folded in half so it didn't tip over, the new one does not. So if you stop vacuuming to pick something up, it falls on the floor. Also when I put it away it'll need to be in pieces instead of upright. The old model had 2 batteries. You charged one while you used the other. So you always had a charged battery. This version does not have a removable battery. You must plug in the vacuum itself. Plus I can't vacuum my whole house at once. I have to stop halfway and recharge it. This also means I'd have to leave it out so I can charge it while not using it. EYE SORE! It's cheaply made. This one is flimsy and has switches that are definitely going to snap when being flipped from each setting. I wasted $250 on this. Im so upset. I tried uploading photos to show you what I mean but I keep getting error messages.
Good for quick pet hair clean-ups
The vacuum does what it says and does not get pet hair tangled up in the brush roller. That was my main reason for purchase. From what I can tell, this unit is an out of date model since I could not find it on the Shark site. Suction is fairly good, but it takes some effort to move it along on carpet. You only get 1 attachment (crevice tool), and the instructions that come with it are not that clear. For example, it does not show you how to hang the cup and motor on the wand. I finally figured it out thanks to a You Tube video. Overall, it's probably worth the money, especially if you use it mainly for quick clean-ups. It is not, in my opinion, a substitute for a high quality, full size vacuum.
Verified Purchase
No more cord.
I have had it for 3 weeks. Up to now it is pretty nice. I live in a small apartment, and this is perfect. It does not have the strength of my corded vacuum, but it is pretty good. Best part... does not have a cord, easy to use and the price was right. I am really enjoying vacuuming with this vacuum. I gave it four stars because I have only had it for 3 weeks and don't know how it will work in 6 months or so.
no dusting brush
Just got my vacuum today and it didn't have the dusting brush. I honestly don't think the ad is showing the correct item they're selling. I sure wish I would have looked at the reviews because there is a few that say the same thing. The frustrating part is when they tell you Sams can't give me a dusting brush replacement, and that I'll have to contact Shark myself to get what I need. I have never left a review in my life, but as a customer, it gets tiring of having to be the one that has to repackage everything, go drop it off, wait for the replacement and then pray it's right. Of course that is what has to be done, but every time there's an issue, it feels like just work for us to do. I despise problems with an order so much that I often will be like "eh, it's fine" and will eat the loss so I don't have to repackage something and haul it off and wait on the replacement. I guess I just didn't want to do that this time so here's my whiney review lol.
Great Product!
Just purchased our first cordless vacuum (this Shark Pet vac) and love it. Very impressed with the fact that it actually removed debris next to the wall without having to use the crevice tool! We have two cats so did an experiment by using our corded vacuum and then went back over the same area with this new vacuum. It was unbelievable what it picked up that we didn't see and the vast amount of pet hair! I can truly attest to the fact this works great!
Worth it, if you can get the sale price!
I ended up getting lucky, and getting this for $139.98 plus tax. Sams club book has a sales ad with photo of the green shark vacuum on the flyer with all their other sales for the month. When It was time to check out.. The cash register lady told me it was not on sell. I show her the ad with image of the Shark Vacuum inside the book they sent me, plus mention their customer service area that had the same book. The cashier seem to want to let me know I was wrong, It got push to a supervisor that told me NO right away instead of hearing me out. After that it got push to the manager, that ended up agreeing with me since it was in the SAMS CLUB BOOK. I told all three, It's like me having RED CAR listed on a sales ad, but when you show up. I end up telling you its not that its a pink bike, so forget that sales ad you saw. The other two people were not to happy with me after the manager gave me the sale deal. The other two people went out of their way to try to get the manager to tell me no with all the reasons, why they felt I should not get it. You could tell they wanted to tell me to kick rocks so bad. I'm so glad they had a manager that took the time to do the right thing. I gave it 4 stars since I didn't get that brush attachment in the box, and had to deal with the other two rude people. Honestly, it works great for my needs. The battery life goes quick, so keep in mind if you want to vacuum large area's. Also it works great with shag rugs and those small toss rugs, since it doesn't have the brush part that usually gets caught all the time. I hope this review helps.
Excellent for Pet Hair, dirt and dust.
I purchased this Shark Pet Cordless Stick two weeks ago. I am totally pleased with this vacuum. It does everything it says it will. As with any stick vacuum it does require regular maintence. Shark makes this very simple and easy to do. Storage for this unit is better than anything I have seen before.
Love this cordless vacuum
This is the 2nd cordless shark I have bought (I have also had two corded shark vacuums), this is my favorite brand. This vacuum works beautifully. My last cordless did get clogged alot and I am wondering if this issue has been addressed on this newer model. Time will tell. I have two pomeranians who shed alot, I vacuum my hardwood floors daily, sometimes more than once. This vacuum gets all the fur. I give it 5 stars and I think you will too. The battery charge lasts a decent amount of time (I do not have a huge house) and I love the LED headlights, lets you see debris you normally wouldnt. You will be happy you bought this. I know I am!
Love this vacuum
With a dog and kids that shed all the time this vacuum has been a game changer. I have area rugs, one bedroom with carpet and LVP throughout most of the house. Not as lightweight as my previous stick vacuum but it can handle everything we throw at it, unlike the more lightweight version that died after a couple months. It's still much lighter than a regular vacuum and the cordless feature allows us to zip around the house. As a result I vacuum more and my house stays much cleaner. I have a 2200 sf house and am able to vacuum top to bottom with one charge. It does run out sooner if you hold the power boost button but that's to be expected. It does not have a wall mount but the compact way it stores hasn't been a problem and it doesn't fall over when you are charging. I like charging and then putting it in the closet, out of sight. I'll never go without one of these vacuums again. Worth every penny.
Best for bare floors, poor suction
Vacuum has poor suction - cannot even pick up hair off a tile or hardwood floor. Also dislike having to manually hold the button to increase suction level to highest. There should be a switch to hold it in place for high vs. low power. Battery life is good for quick jobs around the house. Hard to empty dirt - hair wraps around internal mechanisms and you have to use your hand to remove it.
