- 2 out of 5 stars review1/6/2022I have been a loyal Michelin customer for forty years and this is the first time I have ever been disappointed. I bought these for my wife's Subaru Crosstrek when the original set needed replacement and I have never heard the end of it. They're okay around town but when you get up to highway speeds you can't hear yourself think. Since Michelins last a long time, I'll probably have to suffer with these for 5-6 years!
Noisiest Tires I've Ever Owned
My FaultOriginally posted onmichelinman.comConsumer CareMy Fault, we're sorry you are experiencing noise with the CrossClimate2 tires. These tires work extremely well in heavy rain with no hydroplaning at all. Barley can get these tires to break free under heavy acceleration. Tried them out in 6 inches of snow, they worked extremely well for an AS tire. Great acceleration and braking traction. Tracked very straight when at speed. In the dry, they feel like a Performance Summer tire. They are a little noisy in the first 3000 miles, now they sound great. I recommend these tires to all my friends and family. I have been using Bridgestone 980 AS, for 3 sets, and these are far better. Used on a 2019 Hyundai Elantra Sport FWD.
Perfect All Season Tires, Especially in Rain and Snow!
XB12XTOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/14/2026I put the climate 2 tires on my wife's nissan kicks because it's a smaller suv I wanted tires that had good winter and summer traction. The tires run smooth on the car and my wife is very pleased with the winter traction she has gotten so far. As they say you get what you pay for and I think we did.
Oh ya!
JimboOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/16/2022AMAZING. I put these on my 2017 Vw Golf (currently living in San Diego, CA) but moving to northern Maine in a month. After reading the reviews I decided on these tires and immediately noticed a huge difference. They are SO QUIET and they handle so well. You can tell they have quick response with starting/stopping and amazing grip. Usually with cruise control on going approx. 65-70mph I get about 39-41mpg and with these new tires I now get 37-39mpg so not much of a difference. They are aggressive tires so no you aren't going to get perfect MPG however some other reviewers are being dramatic. Overall these tires are fantastic and worth every penny. Don't hesitate to buy these.
PERFECT
CkkkkOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 4 out of 5 stars review2/16/2026I put these tires on my 2023 Honda Pilot, and overall they've been impressive. Their all‑weather capability is excellent, and they've been especially strong in snow—confident traction, stable handling, and exactly the kind of winter performance I was hoping for. Road noise is also pleasantly low, even at highway speeds, which makes daily driving more comfortable. The one drawback has been fuel economy. I'm seeing about a 5‑MPG drop compared to my previous tires, which is a pretty significant difference. I'm hoping mileage improves once the weather warms up, but for now it's definitely the trade‑off. Despite the hit to fuel efficiency, I'm happy with how these tires perform overall. If winter traction and quiet ride quality are your priori...
Great tires, but noticeable MPG drop
Sta24Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/7/2026My new Michelin Tires are the best tires that I eve purchased for my car. I base my opinion on traction, durability and adhesion. We have had lots of snow and ice in the Northeast USA this winter. My tires have exceeded my expectations in all kinds of conditions.
Super Michelin Tires
NadiaOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 4 out of 5 stars review2/8/2026The tires look really cool and in general they work really well. However, we had a bit of a lot of snow recently and the snow caked up on the tires and gave me a vibration When drivingover 50 miles an hour. The issue went away once it warmed up and I removed some of the snow from the tires, but it was a scary situation. Now that I am aware of it, I won't think my car is falling apart
Snow will adhere to them
Soccer mom 26Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/15/2023I purchased four Cross climate 2 tires 5 months ago. (I have driven on all major brands of tires during my sixty-one years of driving) The Michelin Cross Climate 2 are by far and away the best tire as far as handling, wear, - and for me- snow traction,

Experience 2Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/9/2024I drive for Uber-- 50,000+ miles a year in Ohio. With over 11000 trips, these tires have out-performed all expectations. Great traction--even in Ohio winter conditions. Improved gas mileage and much quieter than the equivalent Goodyear's 'best' I had before. I am about to replace my tires again--and I am not looking around--these tires are the best for every day use.
The best for the everyday grind.
chipdog902Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/30/2026Got these CrossClimate tires installed on my Honda Pilot Touring. So far drivin in Toronto area, they handle really well in the snow and feel confident on the road. The ride is quiet and smooth, and I haven't noticed any negative impact on fuel efficiency so far Haven't had a chance to test them in warmer weather yet, so time will tell on that front. They also look great on the vehicle and give it a more aggressive, rugged look. Overall, happy with them so far.
Confident Snow Handling with a Rugged Look
PilotOnTourOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/5/2023I highly recommend these. My wife and I put these on our Nissan Murano. We live in North Dakota. The roads here can get quite bad in the winter. My wife was in an accident(due to bad roads), she lost control and totalled my truck. I wanted her to feel comfortable again driving. These tires are the best tires I've ever seen in the winter. The control on bad roads is amazing. Highly recommend these if you deal with 6 months of winter. Only downfall is they're sighly louder at 80-85mph in the summer. Not bad enough for me to give them anything short of 5 stars.
Thank You Michelin
EricOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/4/2026This is a repeat purchase for me. They are very wonderful looking tires, too. People notice them and compliment how nice they look. (They ask how I like them, too. I LOVE THEM ! ) They wear evenly and I believe they will exceed the 60,0000 mile warranty, again. I especially enjoy how the Michelin Cross Climate 2 grips the road and handles heavy rainfall.
Durable

Vm2003Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 2 out of 5 stars review12/13/2021I was averaging 40 to 41 miles per gallon in my RAV4 hybrid Limited with the OEM tires. I just installed a set of Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires. These handle better than the OEM and are more surefooted on mountain roads. I read other CrossClimate2 owners were getting lower mpg so I raised the inflation 4 psi over the recommended pressure to see if that would help. Even with the higher pressure I'm now consistently averaging 34.5 MPG. 15% lower. EV's and hybrid's get a triple hit from high rolling resistance tires like the CrossClimate 2. First when running on gas only, Second from faster battery drain while using battery power only and a third from a loss in regeneration to recharge the battery when coasting or braking.
Lower MPG

They were great tires but wore down so I replaced them with the CrossClimate 2. These tires are a big improvement over the original. Better handling in snow especially when making turns. They're expensive but worth it.
Better than the Original
Double BlueOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 3 out of 5 stars review1/9/2023Just bought these tires and did a 4,000 mile road trip form midwest to Oregon coast. Tires rode and handled well in through the mountains and cold damp roads. This big problem is that my fuel mileage dropped around 20%. I used to get 23-26mpg on the highway depending on the winds. With these tires, the highest I got was 21mpg with a tailwind. Average on the trip was 18-20mpg. I want to like these tires, but can't with a 20% fuel mileage hit.
Nice tire, horrible fuel mileage

Great grip on wet roads and excellent grip in the snow. Braking is very good on both. They run quieter and absorb road abnormalities around the city and on the highway better than the Pirelli tires we had before these. Very smooth. Well worth the slightly higher price than other premium tires in our opinion. Very happy with our purchase.
Superior performance
Ted66Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review4/28/2023I have a 2019 Chevy Blazer. Bought these tires at the start of the Winter and could not be happier. We had record snowfall totals for the Winter her in MN and the tires performed exceedingly well! Great control and amazing stopping power! I saw no perceptible change in gas mileage. Just got back from a 4,000 mile road trip and mileage on the highway was just as good if not better than when I had the factory installed tires.
Could not be Happier!
MN ManOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 2 out of 5 stars review10/30/2023I bought a set of four of these tires for my 2017 VW Golf. The previous tires were OEM provided Continental ProTrack TX with about 40,000 miles on them. The old tread was getting low but still acceptable for Mass inspections. They also seemed to have developed a flat spot which was noticeable at low and high speeds. The Cross Climate 2 got very good review but in hindsight I don't recall seeing anything about highway mileage. On a trip I regularly make of about 70 miles with 60 highway, I would average 40-42 mpg. Now with these new Cross Climate 2 tires I only get 35-38 mpg. So after paying a top of the line tire I am going to continue to pay more every fill up through loss in gas mileage.
Hurts gas mileage

They are far superior to the OEM Pirellis as you don't feel every bump in the road and are much quieter. In addition, the traction has been excellent on wet and dry pavement. Initially, I looked at these, and another brand, and the retailer told me to get these "hands down." He was 100% correct.
Great tires. Wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.
