Just opened the box to realize this doesn't come with a base. May be naive of me to assume it would, except the photo of it shows a base. Other patio umbrellas for sale did not have a base, so it was somewhat misleading for the photo to show components sold separately.

We loved the first umbrella we bought from Sams Club. It worked great and the orange color was bright and beautiful. After 3 yrs, we decided we wanted a different color so we went with red. Love the color but the umbrella won't stay up all of the way nor will it stay tilted. Disappointed and of course we don't have the receipt any longer.

I bought an umbrella from Sam's a couple of years ago and it has been great. So I decided I wanted another one and I picked one of these up on sale. So I got it set up and the crank didn't work properly. The u,brella would only go up part of the way before it started to tilt, then it wouldn't crank back down at all. So I manually forced it closed so I could even get it into my car to return it, and its going back tomorrow.

I really liked the size and value. However, the base that is recommended with this is way too small to hold such a large umbrella up during any slight breeze. Under normal use, the umbrella support rods buckled and bent after a few uses. The operating mechanism is made up of a reel and thin lace/cord. Good looking umbrella from far, but it is just support materials are just too cheap and not sturdy even for the price..

These are excellent umbrella at a great price. I bought two in the Rainbow color. It adds just enough color without being too bold. The cranks are easy to turn. I love the quality and price so much!! I ordered a third one, which is on it´s way, for another table and chairs. I highly recommend these.

The umbrella came in great shape and well packed. Was so glad the fabric is Sunbrella with it being outside in the Florida sun. The fabric is not heavy but shades my entire table. It says it is 97% UV protection. It also is auto tilt which I never had. That should be interesting when needed.

Metal is cheap, broke in half on a not a very windy day. I do not recommend.

Great umbrella. Very solid and quality fabric.
