This is a Great tire.

At 106,000 we are replacing this tire with hopefully the same tire. Very pleased with mileage and control in rain & snow and specially when driving through deep water at high speed. (little to no pull) Sometimes a tire that is stock to a new car is difficult to replace with the same exact tire. I have not had to test the full braking ability of this tire and trust this tire to act in a manner of its design as experienced in all other specification of handing and performance. In closing for context purposes, this is the only tire review I have written and just happened upon this review in the search of this great tire.

Does what it claims

I have these on a large suv and they do save gas. They are put on at factory to help meet epa requirements. Traction and performance is same as expected from michelin tires. A really good tire for 3 seasons especially if you hav vehicle where every bit counts towards fuel savings and saving carbon emissions

Junk

These pieces of junk came with my 2017 Ford Fusion, I have 32,000 miles on the car and they need to be replaced. The tires have been rotated every 5,000 miles and have all been inflated properly. This seems to be a reoccurring issue with these tires. Bottom line, they are junk.

EXCELLENT WEAR

Mich Energy Savers came on a Chrysler 300 we purchased new. The majority of mileage was on mountain roads and then a lot of interstate driving. We had over 87,000 miles and just getting to the wear bars. Great ride, great wet rode handling and a smooth ride. We won't try another tire!

Best tires I've ever owned

These tires came with my 2017 Kia Niro Hybrid I bought in 2018. I haven't had to fuss with them since I drove off the lot. This in New England, where potholes eat inferior tires and good handling in snow is a must. Only now (March 2023) do they need to be replaced. I'm an average housewife who usually doesn't give 2 hoots about tires, but these have changed that. You get what you pay for.

Ford Fusion and Michelin Tires

The first set we got came on our new Ford Fusion. That Fusion has the smoothest ride ever. So at 58,800 miles or so the tread is getting close to the wear bars so we decided to get new tires before winter...although we probably could have gotten through the winter anyway, but to be on the safe side... Anyway, after the new tires, the Fusion is still the smoothest ride ever.

Grooved pavement nightmare in rain

Echoing Tom's review, I hit a long freeway stretch of grooved pavement in the rain, and same skating, dancing around behaviour. Hwy 401, 100km/hr limit but other cars were doing 120. I slowed to 80 with flashers. Still skating but less badly ... I had to exit and take side roads. So much for energy efficiency! And scary. New Nissan Leaf, maybe 300 km on the tires.

Saving 2 bucks at the pump is not worth the hassle

Pros: - OEM tires - Mileage about 2-3 mpg more - Good in summer and slight snow Cons - High fault rate so you will replace one tire for sure. Sidewall punctures or leaks air are very common, so you have to replace at least one tire prematurely. Once that happens, the car is fundamentally unbalanced unless you sway all tires. The noise and safety hit is not worth it. Check online reviews on tire sites and car forums to understand how frequent this is. It isn't fun to get tire pressure check warnings all the time. - Hydroplanes badly Hydroplanes at any amount of rain and it's hard to get a Honda Accord to feel unsafe. At these prices, this alone is not worth 2-3 mileage. Unless you wait 45k miles for the tread to go off which is when they feel okay. - Tread wear is quite high. I am an easy driver (I get 34mgp on a Camaro). The tires really give way after 40k and cornering and turns are noticeably bad so good luck on getting the 55 k. - Noise levels are high. Noise is quite high and irritating on long drives. The tires actually hydroplane less when they wear out and the noise is also less which confirms that the tires are quite not good. If someone is saying these are good tires, they have been lucky or don't know what good tires are at this price range. Saving 2 bucks at the gas pump is not worth the hydroplaning and tire leaks. If you buy these, also find a discount tire shop near you.

VERY POOR MILEAGE AND PERFORMANCE.

I got these tires with a brand new Honda Clarity. I do mostly local suburban driving and only put about 30,000 miles on the car in 4 years since I've had it. On my last visit with Honda they told me the tires had to be replaced. In fact I had been experiencing issues because the ride was poor and the tire grip was slipping when I had to pull out from a side street for instance. I was also constantly getting messages that the tire pressure was low and always had to be refilling them. I took the car in for all the scheduled maintenance during the warranty. And rotated the tires regularly. These tires are extremely expensive to replace and I will certainly be in touch with Michelin about the poor performance of these tires.

Terrible on Rain / Snow

I have a 2016 Ford Fusion and I drive approximately 30K / year. These tires are awful in rain and snow (I actually have trouble getting up my driveway with the slightest bit of snow,...and I do NOT live on a hill), but work well on dry pavement. I managed to get through a Midwest winter and am changing to the Defender with hopes for better performance.
