This may sound strange, but I have an ancient house cat and I've found that because it is low on additives, it's the best thing that is keeping him going these past several years. My boy will be 20 later this year.

Tastes like the jerky we used to make at home. Most jerky you buy is moist instead of dry and doesn't last like it is supposed to. This is dry and can last a long time even after opening. I'm from NM and am glad my Sam's carries this in Phx.

Best jerky!! My dad used to make jerky after his hunting trips. He would slice into thin pieces, added added salt (and sometimes pepper) and hang up in a cold room until it was dried and ready. Im always on the lookout for jerky like he used to make. This has been the only one that tastes like the jerky my dad made. No additives or flavorings, not moist, but not too dry where you can't chew it, the thinness of the meat is perfect. Some fat left on it but not too much to make it rancid. I buy several of these at once. Open one bag at a time, tear in to smaller pieces and put in a paper lunch bag, add a little more salt, (kosher or sea salt, not table salt or it gets too salty) shake it around and snack on it through the week. (my dad would bag his jerky in paper bags, it absorbs the fat oils just right, keeps it nice and dry). If you like old fashioned basic jerky, then try this. Its also great to put the vacuum sealed bag in your emergency bug-out-bag, take on hikes/camping, add to your pantry etc.

Yummy fresh Beef Jerky. Everyone enjoyed it. Some thought it was a little salty, but still tasty. Packed in ziplock for added convenience and freshness. Price is lowest in town.

I like it a lot. My wife says that it is too much like a dog treat. We probably spoil our dog too much.

Too much fat in pieces and some parts are to saturated with salt(and I love salt), while some spots have no salt at all .
