This is the only way to your for your Turkey frying! I have been frying turkeys for 30 years (before the vidieos of folks being stupid) I typically do 8 to 10 a year and with care (in New England) I get as much as 2 years from a box. (have to add quarts for loss). The trick is temperature control when cooking. Keep it to no more than 400. Once the bird is in you have time to urinate and grab a beer, (behind trees are your friend from that point on) then you MUST stand by the pot, regulate the Temp. until the heat is off. As the bird cooks you will need to turn down the heat regularly. Hears to you, good luck and healthy frying!

LouAna is a brand that has been around for a bit. Peanut oil, to me, yields the best results in turkey frying because of the high smoking point, it doesn't break down so quickly, and it has a mild flavor that does not battle with the taste of your food. Besides, I find that it gives a nicer browning to the bird. We have used lower priced oils like corn or canola or soybean or a combination of any of the 3 - and the results were ok but they didn't give us the same results as when we use pure peanut oil. Honestly this price is not much of a savings from what we usually pay locally at Costco or BJs but we are not near a Walmart so with all the other things I purchased, it made sense to buy it here online.

This is absolutely AMAZING Peanut Oil...and the price is UNBELIEVABLY LOW. Buy Peanut Oil in a grocery store and a TINY 8 oz. bottle cost between $6.99 and $8.99 This is an ABSOLUTE STEAL...and if you kids have never fried fish, shrimp, chicken, meatballs, liver, onion rings, potato slices, floured tomato slices, battered eggplant slices, I could go on forever, but, if you have not ever fried any of these thing in Peanut Oil, you have NO IDEA...what you're missing...you will never buy any other kind of cooking oil again.

Lou Ana was recommended by a friend who has fried turkeys before. This was my first year to fry a turkey and so of course I went with the recommendation. I wasn't disappointed either! I think I am still going to alternate every other year with fried turkey and roasted turkey because I am more traditional and my family likes variety. Sorry I didn't take a picture of the final product but you can take my word for it that the turkey was moist and delicious. Kind of like a big fried chicken but turkey flavored. LOL!

Using oil for few days, it is good. No flower burning smell like sunflower or canola. I might have given 5 stars if there was some peanut oil smell in this. I know it is not cold pressed, but at least little smell is good. Now I doubt whether it’s pure peanut oil as there is no smell of peanut either from the storage or while frying.

THIS OIL IS HIGH QUALITY. RIGHT OFF THE BAT I CAN TASTE THE DIFFERENCE IN MY FOOD, I USE TO USE CANOLA OIL BUT NOW I AM HOOKED.
