I got the tires about 3 weeks ago for my Nissan Rogue Sport 2020, and already put almost 1000 miles. They have excellent traction and tread (much better than the Bridgestone that came with the car whe. I bought it). The mileage has improved slightly (I would say between 5 and 10%) and the car handles very well in rain and when turning. I still have not driven in the snow. I read carefully the reviews before buying the tires and feel that some customers left unfair feedback. A lot of people don't inflate their tires properly or service them and they trashed Michelin Defender 2 unfairly. If you don't have tire pressure indicators on your dashboard, roll up your sleeves and check the pressure yourself every few weeks (it's unsafe to drive with under-inflated tires and your fuel consumption will go up). Spend a few dollars and rotate your tires every 10k and get new tire alignment every year - it will extend the longevity of your tires!

I am very disappointed with the Michelin Defender 2. The 4 tires are rated for 80,000 miles. However, I am experiencing uneven wear (feathering) on al 4 tires at 12,000 miles. I have documentation to prove I have been aligning my tires at Firestone since the tires were purchased new. The shocks and struts are new on my vehicle. However, I am experiencing noisy tires, and the roads feel bumpy all the time.

These are not like the Defender LTX. Disappointed in the ride and look. The side walls look like something you would put on a SUV or Truck that would be trail riding. The side wall is not a smooth design like the LTX. The Defender 2 seem like they are pushing my crossover. In fact I looked at the tire wondering was it one directional. It is not. I would not recommend for small Crossovers. Note: I have Defender LTX on our 4 Runner and FJ Cruiser. The Defender LTX is a 5 Star. The Defender 2 definitely not a 5 Star.

We are very pleased with the Michelin Defender 2 tires that we just purchased for our Ford Escape Titanium. This vehicle is a medium sized SUV so it is light and has turbo so it is quick to respond to changes in speed or direction. Consequently, we are concerned about the tires ability to be stable on windy highways and grip the road at higher speeds and when turning corners especially in wet weather. Since this is early spring and winter road damage has not yet been repaired, they are surprisingly smooth when going over rough roads and occasional potholes and uneven roads. They are also well priced for this level of performance.

Bought 4 replacement tires for my 2017 Rav4, tires are just as noisy as my original OEM tires. Was hoping for quieter ride, but the same. Set pressure to 32 psi, but no difference. My winter Michelins are quieter, Defenders are a harder rubber with gives them longer life, but increase road noise.

I recently purchased the Michelin Defender 2 tires with tire size of 235/50R17 for my Lexus ES350. My previous tires were Michelin Premier A/S, which it offers very comfortable and quite ride with excellent handling and traction during dry and wet weather conditions. However, the issue was the Premier A/S did not last very long. I only had 25K and all 4 tires went down to 2/32. By doing a lot of research, I found out that the Defender 2 is built on the foundation of the Defender T+H, the Michelin Defender 2 scores top marks in all categories. Plus, it has the identical tread pattern design like Premier A/S which I like it very much. It provided me very comfortable and quite ride with Piano Acoustic Tuning Technology. In addition, the Defender 2 compounds contain EverTread2.0 and MaxTouch2.0 Technology, which Michelin offers 80,000 miles warranty. By knowing Defender 2 is built from Defender T+H and has the same tread design like Premier A/S, I know this is an excellent tire that would give me the most comfortable quite ride while keep me safe on the roads, plus it will last for a long time. I am very happy with the purchase and the choice I made.

Those tires are not supporting the character of a BMW. They feel very plush, no feedback from the road, and just way too soft. Will not buy them again. I drove over 4000 miles in long distance rides. When arrived we feel still swimming. I had the suspicion checked, which according to BMW is good.

Just installed a set of Defender 2 tires, re placing the Defender tires purchased 3 years ago. To my surprise the new tires a New tires are very noisy despite Michelin claiming they are very quiet.  The ride of the tire is very hard and as a result it creates a very noisy Ride when travelling on a rough road.  Not sure why you changed the style of tire.

Very quiet and smooth. I love the way they handle. I live in a hilly / mountainous terrain where we get all four seasons. Recently we had a significant snow fall and we had to make a sudden stop due on the freeway. I was thankful that we had the Michelin Defender 2's. We stopped on a dime without any slippage. I can't comment on wear and durability because I haven't had them long enough but from other reviews that I've read from many sources, these were the "BEST" Recommended tire for my vehicle (Subaru Ascent). Had to buy these Defender 2 tires a few months ago because the Premier LTX D/T tires were supposedly being discontinued. Tires are adequate but not as comfortable of a ride versus the Premier LTX D/T tires. Disappointed in the Defender 2 Traction and Temperature ratings of "B", they should be at least A or better yet AA. I will only buy Michelin tires as long as they have quality tires and strive to improve tire materials and traction control; especially, in wet weather where I live. Unfortunately the YOKOHAMA YK740 GTX were rated better (A traction and A temperature) than the Defender 2 tires ; however, I do not like Yokohama tires. I have not had the Defender 2 tires long enough to rate treadwear; however, I do not expect them to last even 50,000 miles. We shall see!
