I love this mixer! Powerful and solid, this thing has yet to disappoint with it's operation. I easily disabled the safety switches and can now move the bowl up and down to add a little more motion to it's operation. It is heavy, coming in above 250 lbs. and seems pretty powerful. We'll see if it lasts a couple of years, I'm hopeful!

Mixed 25 pounds of sausage meat no problem. I used the dough hook and I found it did an excellent job. Easy to use and clean.

After killing two Kitchenaide mixers with my pizza dough I decided to buy an industrial mixer. However, I could not touch even a 10 year old Hobart for under $1,200. With the General mixer I can process batches 4 times the size of the batches I was mixing on the Kitchenaide. This machine is very powerful. It kneaded my pizza dough with no problem and produced superior results. So far, it has performed very well and I honestly could not be more satisfied. As you can see in the picture I added caster wheels to the legs to enable me to easily move it around the kitchen.

Incredible mixer, Amazing features and price! I own several mixers and wanted to venture into a larger size mixer, to make larger size batches. Can I just say I LOVE THIS THING!?! The machine is powerful, heavy duty, and very well made. Its does a great Job with everything I make! I added 4" Swivel Caster - 1/2" Bolt Hole wheels (Bolt size: M8-1.25 x 30) to mine to make it easier to move around . I am in love! If you are in doubt : your search is over! You cant beat the price!

This mixer is a BEAST!!! Easily handles the large batches of sourdough and danish dough I make for our farmers markets. I bought this mixer to replace a KitchenAid Commercial mixer that worked well just isn’t big enough for the dough batches needed.

This mixer is heavy duty, I have used Hobart for many years, and this is a solid unit.

I baught this machine and works good ! I had trouble on how to start the machine. It needed a few steps to start! I called the main factory and the people work for technical support are helpless and I even had a discussion with the a worker there and I had to talk to the manager but he finally resolved my issue!

I had to replace an old mixer and found this at sams.com. the price was great, and shipping, well, I had it in three days! My ONLY issue with the mixer is one that I have with every commercial mixer I've used in 40+ years - When you hit 'start' - it STARTS! Immediately, and WAY too fast! I'm still working to resolve that. Once all of the ingredients are in and the mixer is running, it's great. It has a timer, which comes in handy when it is so easy to be distracted by other things going on in the shop. There are also Too many 'safety' features for my taste... You can't turn it on unless the bowl is raised and locked, and the safety cage is closed. This makes it difficult to add ingredients to the mix while it is running - something that many of my formulas call fo.

I purchased the 30qt mixer for my bakery. Item was received in good condition until I plugged it in and turned it on. The noise made coming from the motor was ear piercing and the metal became scalding hot. Contacted Sams and was directed to the supplier at The Legacy Companies(supplier). I filled out all of the necessary information to have it serviced. I was informed that they don’t recommend repairing it and would recommend replacement. Except it’s out of stock so my only option is to return the item. Return was initiated with Sam’s club. I was contacted by the freight company to schedule a pick up. 24 hours later they contacted me to state that the Legacy Companies has to decided to scrap the unit and now I’m responsible for disposing of it. This item weighs 400 pounds. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS ITEM. The customer service from their supplier is a complete joke.
