Great salad!

Fresh and last

Saw Comments about spoling fast. Got home and removed the salad from its plastic container, but a paper towel at bottom of the container, added half the salad, another paper towel, the other half of the salad, then one more paper towel in top. Had no issues, lasted all week!

It tasted sour, bitter. I thought it was just the red veined, but washed it in strainer, still nasty. Looked into plastic box salad came in, found black pieces of lettuce. Idk, I called the store never got an answer, so chalking it up, and not purchasing food at Sams anymore.

We opened their new box design that rips the tabs on the side to reveal and fresh spring mix box. The tabs that held the lid to box on multiple occasion had broken off into small pieces and land in the mix. We later found those same pieces potentially cutting the inside of our mouth as we made salads out of them. Terrible and quite possibly a lawsuit should be file against these boxes for holding a hazard in ready to eat food.

While this is a great mix at a great price, I will not be purchasing it a Sam's Club in the future. At my local Sam's Club it is stored in an open front refrigerated section. Either it is getting too warm in the refrigerator or it is handled improperly at some point in the supply chain. Either way, the containers I purchase from Sam's are not useable several days before the use by date without picking through each and every leaf which is a giant pain. In contrast, I have purchased large containers of this product at other stores and had it be perfectly usable up to 10-days after the use by date.

I’ve been buying this spring mix for years. Recently, they changed the packaging from a clam shell to resealable plastic on the top. I’ve purchased two times since they rolled out the new packaging and BOTH times I’ve found bugs. The first time, they were small, red bugs and were alive. Assuming it was a fluke, I bought another one. I found a large, dead fly, and upon further examination, found more little red bugs. Absolutely disgusted!!

I bought this mix because they were out of baby spinach, thinking the quality would be just as good. The "best by" date was a week out, but there were so many wilted and slimy pieces from the moment I opened it that, by the time I went through the container (still before the "best by" date), I had probably thrown away half. It also had a significant amount of long stems that had to be removed. I definitely will avoid this mix in the future.

This used to be my favorite salad mix. It was fresher than all local grocery stores. The last 3 boxes I’ve purchased contained slimy lettuce from the very first use. In every instance we were still multiple days before expiration. I’m sad i can’t rely on this salad mix anymore.

I love this salad, and I’m not a salad person. This salad used to have a plastic lid that kept the product fresh for days. Last order I picked up and a resealable flap which does not seal the best therefor it’s not as good. I also think something has changed with the different types. Product is still good but packaging is not good!
