I was apprehensive when it was delivered and I first laid on it because I was used to a 4” memory foam topper on my hybrid mattress. It felt very firm to me. First night I slightly elevated my head and knees with adjustable base and slept very well. No hip aches or shoulder pain. Very happy so far with this BeautyRest Black Series One!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received the Beautyrest Pillow Top Mattress, I was so pleased with how it looked. I even gasped, "wow, that's beautiful!" It is a black mattress with small silver stitching that makes it look so luxurious. We've been sleeping on this mattress for a month now and love it. The pillow top makes it so comfortable but still supportive. I like that it is made to be used with or without a box spring, so we didn't have to change our bed frame. It is nice that the mattress has built-in handles which made it easy to move and place on the frame. The mattress is quite thick so some of our fitted sheets are a tight squeeze to cover the whole side of the mattress, but we haven't had it come off of any corners yet. We need more time to see how durable the mattress is in the long run, but so far we have enjoyed many restful nights on it.

We were in need of a mattress upgrade as we had purchased what we believed was a good quality mattress a few years ago and as you can see one of the sides is completely sunk in. This has been causing my husband all sorts of back problems so when we were selected to review this mattress, it was the perfect fit and the perfect timing! After testing the mattress for an extended period of time I have nothing but good things to report. We have been using it for about two months now and there are absolutely no signs of where. We spend a lot of time in the evenings, relaxing, and watching shows in bed so our daughter can sleep peacefully on the other side of the house. So the mattress gets a lot of use. The mattress is incredibly plush with just the right amount of firmness. The black color not only eliminates the fear of spills or staining, but it is also extremely visually appealing! Not only have my husband‘s back problems started to subside, but according to my smart watch I am getting radically better sleep quality. This is hands-down the best mattress I have ever owned and I 100% recommend this product!

The first night my hips hurt (I’m a side sleeper). After a few more nights it became more and more comfortable. We bought a box spring to set the mattress on. The result was a bed so high I need a step to climb onto the bed. We will take the box spring off; after my husband’s back recovers from putting the mattress on the bed. I think the mattress must weigh at least 400lbs! Next time we will pay the extra money and let some young healthy men do the heavy lifting.
