Right now, there are 4 series of airpods which are made by Apple. The Airpods (1st generation) released in 2016, Airpods (2nd generation) released in 2019, Airpods Pro released in 2019 and Airpods Max released in 2020. Mostly all of these are approximately priced more than 150$ and can be up to 549$ with the latest series. From my perspective, I didn’t use other airpods here the reasons why. Firstly, the airpods 1 have no active noise cancellation, which means outside noise may interfere with user listening experiences. Short battery life around 5 hours of listening time and 2 hours of talking time for 1 single charge, this may not be enough for some users. Airpods 1 might work well with Apple devices, they may not work well with other brand devices, and some features might be limited or not available at all. Additionally, some users have reported that there are connection issues with older system devices. Secondly, the airpods 2 lack water resistance, which means they can be damaged internally by water splashes, sweat and rain. Airpods 2 don’t have active noise cancellation. Also short battery life around 5 hours if listening time and 3 hours of talking time on single charge. Lastly, The AirPods Max are one of the most expensive headphones on the overall headphone market. It is very bulky and heavy to carry around. The Airpods Max are heavier and bulkier than other popular headphones, which make the users feel uncomfortable wearing them for many hours. There is no power-off button on Airpods Max, which means they are always in a low-power battery mode, even when they are not in use. This makes the battery life feel shorter for some users. Lastly, airpods max do not support lossless audio, which means you may not be able to enjoy highest quality audio files. I have been using airpods pro for approximately 3 years now. The reasons why I bought airpods pro are active noise cancellation, comfortable carrying around and better compatibility with ios and other devices. The ios make the airpods pro easy to connect to other apple devices. The battery life is acceptable, the battery of the airpods pro lasts about 4.5 hours with active noise cancellation turned on. It can also connect and be compatible with other devices with bluetooth. However, there are some flaws. After using it for many years, the microphone doesn’t work for me anymore. When I use it for phone calls I need to change to the original microphone instead of using the airpods microphone. The earbuds are also damaged and worn out making the sound not contained in the ear also making the noise cancellation doesn’t work. Later, when I figured out that I needed to buy new earbuds, I found out that Apple only gives me 1 pair of each earbud size (small, medium, and large). I read good reviews and so I purchased them at just under $170.00. My experience within first week was: They’d constantly disconnect from my cellphone. And so, I had to place them back in the case %26 take them back out to reconnect to my cellphone. This process , at times, required I place them back in the case, and press %26 hold the button until the signal reconnected to my cellphone. This process occurs an average of about 3/4 times during the use of 5 hours. This is despite being fully charged and my cellphone being in my pocket. Perhaps others have had better and a different experience. One month after purchase this still is occurring. The sound otherwise is spectacular.

This is a faulty pair I received. Connectivity issues. Receiving end cannot hear me unless I yell. They disconnect regularly. Make calls sound choppy as if I’m moving out of distance when they are both in the same place in ear and phone in hand. First negative experience. Siri not announcing at times or announcing low when volume is HIGH. I lost the first pair like this and had to replace just to get a faulty pair.

These are FAKE. I bought these in store at full price. First realized they were fake when I tried the transparency mode and it didn’t work, then the noise cancellation feature also didn’t work. Touch controls on the airpods to pause/play, skip/rewind wouldn’t work properly. The AirPods would also randomly disconnect from my phone for no reason. I thought they may have just been defective but then I decided to check the serial number and there was no serial number on the inside of the case OR on the AirPods. I returned them for a full refund the next day.

I have other headphones including noice canceling earbuds. I compare them with them these are fall below average. There are so many other headphones and earbuds in market including sennheiser, boss and anchor. I used all three and I feel iPhone one are below performance in all of them.

As someone who used to work in an Apple Store, I have come across a lot of headphones and Apple got these ones right. The buds they use fit comfortably in your ear and they provide you a variety of sizes to help fitment. There is a force touch feature on the stem that acts as a push button to give you shortcuts; such as skipping to the next song, pausing/playing, and activating Siri. Speaking of Siri, she is also very user friendly on the voice activation. One irritation I have with the Siri function is she will activate when you receive a text and read it to you. I believe you can turn that off but she also seems to be listening all the time. Audio clarity is very good and the noise cancellation is very effective too. So much better on an airplane. My iPhone also warns me if I leave their proximity. Quality pair of buds at a moderately high price.

The sound and noise cancelling are absolutely the best I’ve found in a set of earbuds. These have a serious flaw in that they just pop out randomly. It’s much more likely to happen while chewing or talking, but can literally happen anytime. Mine popped out while doing neither of those, alongside a road, and now I have a small chunk of shattered plastic Apple tells me will cost $93 to replace even with them still being under warranty. These would absolutely be 5 star headphones, but the fit issue knocks them down hard. I tried a couple sizes, I did the software fit test, there’s no getting around it, these are flawed. You’ve been warned.

I have had several pairs of Apple AirPods some better than others seems quality control is poor. The latest set are the Pro2 purchased at a Best Buy in late may of 2023 they have a lot of same issues as my previous sets, charging the right pod and not the left one while in case together, not connecting to phone multiple times, case doesn’t recognize phone says it’s someone else’s case, battery life isn’t much better than previous models,the sound is better and they block outside noise really well but overall not improved. Now the case has quit charging so the headache never ends!

The 2nd generation Apple AirPods Pro are definitely an upgrade from the first generation. The part that I love the most is that you can now adjust the volume with touch control. All you have to do is swipe the stem up or down. I would recommend these to anybody! They're really awesome!

The pick up from this Walmart was absolutely horrible! I spent well over 1 hour outside and another 30 mins inside! The young lady who ignorantly tried to pretend she didn’t hear me calling for her attention quickly dismissed mine and others waiting in the line to rectify their complications with personal orders! It took me to follow her as she was hearing my call for attention while she rapidly attempted to walk faster upon my request for help until ultimately catching her attention loudly… she disappeared into the back! After addressing my issues with her she hid quietly in the back room even while one of her coworkers called her attention, they both his quietly while I heard her say I don’t want to cater to this customer! A set of management approached me attempting to swell my discontent but sided with the insubordinate personnel! I’m appalled NYE my treatment in this particular location especially with the amount of money I’ve spent in the past couple weeks and years! Something needs to be done immediately or Walmart will continue to lose business! I asked several times to speak to management but was continually deflected to speak to shift supervisors! I’m returning everything purchased and progressing forward with the original vendor as Walmart’s proven incapable of providing the customer service advertised!
