Just to put this out there, I'm someone who drinks filtered water (plain, unflavored) most of the time. I generally like getting infused water at events and such though. So when I saw the flavors available for this product and that it seemed to just genuinely be infused water with no added sweeteners, I was intrigued.
This package included the three varieties of watermelon, peach and raspberry, and blackberry. Across the board, the flavors were generally good, as were the scents of the waters.
I also want to make special note regarding the kind of sweeteners used in diet or zero calorie drinks, like aspartame, sucralose, stevia, etc., because it's going to be relevant here. I tend to be able to taste the faintest hint of these sweeteners.
That said, the labels say 0 calories, 0 sweeteners. And the ingredients simply list "purified water and natural flavors." So based on that, I'd think these drinks don't include anything like aspartame, sucralose, stevia, or any other sweetener. Their website clearly says they don't add anything like that, so there should be no doubt. Now onto the actual review of this product.
All three of these flavors are pretty good, and they smell good too. Also, regardless of how faint the flavor is upon first taste, as you drink more, the flavor becomes clearer - but I didn't think it got to where it was overpowering.
Oddly enough, the blackberry flavor is probably the strongest smelling one, and it's an unmistakable blackberry scent. However, that's the flavor that I thought was the weakest initially. The weakest smelling one was the watermelon one, and that was somewhat weak tasting at first as well. The scent and flavor of the peach and raspberry kind reminds me of a certain raspberry hard candy shaped like a ring, and I thought the peach aspect was pretty minimal. I also thought its flavor was a lot stronger than the other two varieties.
Now comes the reason why I mentioned sweeteners. Despite the fact that the labels and website boast of no sweeteners, I'm still questioning it because it sure tastes like there's something in these drinks that lingers on the tongue in a similar way to those sweeteners. That taste alone is a bit of a turnoff for me, and I'm leaning toward it being enough of a turnoff in this case for me to not want to have more of these. It's still lingering on the tongue though as I've written all of this.
Bottom line - great scent, pretty good fruit flavor/essence, but if you happen to be sensitive to flavors with a lingering aftertaste that may or may not be similar to diet/zero calorie sweeteners, it may not be something you can do much of.
