I was waking three to four times in a seven hour period with my previous mattress for years. I have had my mattress for about a month now. I wake 0-1 times a night now. But I do think that the bed base has a lot to do with it also. You really need them both to get the effect that you need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had purchased the orginal Tempur-pedic 15 years ago. It was time to get a new one but there were so many options. My husband is a stomach sleeper so the only choice was the Pro-Adapt Firm. I was nervous it would be TOO Firm and not my comfy Tempur-pedic I had grown to love. We went to the store just so we could try everything thing out to be sure. We are 30 days in and I love it. Well, we BOTH love it. We got the adjustable base as well and I think everynight I say to my husband...I LOVE OUR BED!!

The mattress is comfortably soft but firm. The only reason I rated it as less than 5 stars is that it was almost impossible for us to find and copy the serial number so register we could register it. I am 78 years old and had to lift three different corners of the mattress to find the correct label while my wife stuck her head under the mattress and wrote it down. This was very stressful both physically and mentally.

I use to wake up every morning with back pain. My first night sleep on my pro adapt mattress was very comfortable and NO back pain the next morning or since sleeping on the pro adapt. Love that the cover can be removed and washed. And it super cool, don't need fan on at night.

The price for these mattresses and adjustable bases are outrageous! With that said, we are about 1 month into using our mattress and it is hard to get out of bed in the morning because you sleep so deeply. I swear this mattress makes you sleep longer and deeper, which is great for me. I used to take forever to fall asleep and then wake up every couple of hours between the night...not anymore. Love the firmness, yet not firm. Love the way it contours to your body but doesn't "suck" you in. One big flaw, the mattress is very hot! Supposedly it has cooling technology, but doesn't seem to work because we were both waking up in a pile of sweat. The good news is that we bought a cooling mattress pad from a local store that didn't break the bank and it solved the problem. We thought about trading it in before we bought the cooling mattress pad for the Tempur-pedic that has the most cooling technology, but that one was even more expensive. Bought the cooling pad and have no sweating issues anymore. To sum it up, price is very steep, but I have never slept better once I purchased a mattress cooling pad for it.

I was skeptical to purchase the actual TEMPUR-ProAdapt Hybrid. For one, the cost was intimidating and two, we had an off brand Memory foam that didn't last as long as I'd hoped nor did I experience much relief. My husband and I both suffer from recurring back and neck pain - due to herniations, disc degeneration etc. Getting up early because my back hurt too much became the norm for me. (And when I say early I mean 4:30 am regardless of what time I went to bed). I then herniated another disc that had me wheel chair bound for a month. After that experience, and thankfully I'm almost pain free now, I decided to spend the money because, if your health is off your whole life is off. We have had the Tempur-proadapt hybrid split King and I am SO SO very happy we invested in our health. The zero gravity feature is amazing to let your body relax right before sleep. I'm sleeping all through the night (hardly ever did that even when my back was healthy) and actually want to stay in bed in the morning. I'm amazed and will never go back to a regular mattress or an "off-brand" memory foam!!!!

We tried all the other popular memory foam beds-in-box, but none compared to Tempurpedic. We opted for the hybrid medium firmness and sleep like babies!

First let me say the mattress feels great... then you fall asleep and suddenly you wake up HOT! I live in Illinois keep my house at 65 degrees and I'm still HOT. That's also considering our bedroom is the coldest room in the house. That so called cooling is only to the touch once you fall asleep it will retain your body heat. The others mattresses DO NOT KEEP YOU COOL, they merely keep you cooler than their regular mattress... so if you're a hot sleeper STAY AWAY!

The issue is not with the product. I recently requested an exchange for my newly purchased mattress, to an upgraded more expensive model. Now, keep in mind that it took 32 days to receive my first mattress, including the adjustable bases. (that was also a fight to get) We are coming on 14 days and I still have not received my exchange mattress. I have called more times than I care to mention. Ever time I call, the wait time is awful long. When I finally speak to a "customer" service rep, I get an answer of your order will process in 5 to 7 days, call back. Along with the lovely " have I helped you? and is there anything else I can do?" HA!! You haven't done anything. So, I call back once again. 7 days to be fair. The response, I am sorry, it takes 7 to 10 days for your order to process. So, I call on day 10, then told to call back again. That it takes 10 to 14 days. Today, after being told not once but twice to speak to a special department and being on hold. AND hung up on twice. I am still no where. And calling on day 15. DO NOT, DO NOT purchase from on-line. Find a store, compare your prices. Do not get stuck in this horrible nightmare! When I asked if I could cancel my whole order and how long it would take for funds to be retransmitted. 10 to 14 days.......

Was hesitant getting another foam mattress, especially one that would set us back thousands - especially since we had just had a hybrid foam/spring mattress from a different manufacturer fail on us within 5 years. We went with the brand name and reputation with this purchase and you really are getting what you paid for. We got this in a Cal King and it has been just under 30 days since we've had it delivered. The first few days were rough with our bodies adjusting to this great mattress, but now I look forward to lying down each night and feeling my body supported by the firm mattress. As soon as I get in bed and lie on my back,I feel the support where I need it and will sometimes feel my back cracking from the pressure relief of the mattress. I'm an average sized guy 5'10" and my wife is smaller framed 5'4" and we both wake up now with no pain as we had in our last bed. In true Tempur-pedic fashion, we don't feel each other get in bed since we sometimes have opposing schedules due to shift work. We sleep through the night undisturbed. We still need to get use to very little give when getting in bed for the first time each night and not feeling that initial bounce. This is a FIRM mattress and is the firmest we've found, even compared to traditional spring mattresses. Time will tell though, as the displays we've seen of this mattress in stores feel a tad softer than what we've got - but still firm.
