[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had slept on a firm Tempurpedic mattress at a hotel, and decided to buy one based on that. At the store, I realized that a slightly less firm one actually feels better on joints. The bed is super comfortable, and I find that I change position much less during the night (usually 2-3 times only). That makes for a more restful night and I wake up more alert and ready to go. At first, the 'squishiness' of the mattress when I sat on it made me wonder if it would be comfy, but it is the most comfortable one I've ever had.

The bed was firmer than expected when it arrived. After 45 days it is starting to break in. The edges of the bed are soft and sink when we sit on them. The bed is necessary for my husband who needs to elevate his upper body when he sleeps. The beds are difficult to change the sheets and the mattresses slide apart often.

This is my second Tempurpedic mattress. The first was the old DeluxeBed model, a medium firm mattress that was about a 6.0 on the firmness scale. It took a while to soften up and the unused side was still as hard as a rock after 12 years but it was great for alleviating lower back pain. My arthritis in the hip has worsened with time and age so I selected the Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid with a 4.5 rating as a replacement mattress for more pressure relief. I was told it is their most popular model, especially among women, and the three year old floor model was not overly soft. My new mattress took no time to break in but after three weeks of use, it seems a little mushy. I weigh about 200 pounds and am a side sleeper. I will try it for a couple more months but am concerned that the Medium Hybrid might be too soft for me.

Over the years (as I am 64) my back has degenerated to the point a regular mattress is NOT comfortable. A year ago I had spinal fusion and a spacer inserted in my lower back. Unfortunately, Scoliosis runs in my family and our daughter was born with it. The TempurPedic has been a great product for our family. I am so grateful this product is available to us through our Military Exchange. We are forever grateful TempurPedic supports the military. I bought the Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid as a warranty replacement for my old 2007 Deluxe mattress. The Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid is MUCH better, although I think I could have gone with the regular Pro Adapt Medium. The hybrid has a slightly softer feel despite the fact it is also a medium. I thought the regular Pro Adapt medium was too firm when trying beds, but now that I've had the hybrid, maybe the regular medium would have been better. Maybe not. I'm 115 lbs, 5' 1 1/2", back sleeper with back and hip pain. I sleep pretty well on the new bed. The old Deluxe was 10" thick, which I preferred. The PA Hybrid is 12". I wish it wasn't so thick since I'm short. FYI, sitting on the edge of the hybrid is fine. I found I tended to slide off the edge of the regular Pro Adapt Medium. Another reason I went with the hybrid. Overall pleased, but with it wasn't such a thick mattress.

This is my second Tempur-Pedic and I love this one even more than the first one. I got the "soft" and feels so good. I have fibromyalgia and having a mattress that cradles my body is so important. But the best reason for getting this bed is that I HAVE to have restful sleep and my Tempur-Pedic allows me to sleep all night. I love my bed!

I bought the split king and I have been very pleased with it. These are the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. I have back problems and my husband has sinus problems and we adjust our beds appropriately and have had no problem since we purchased these. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

My wife used to wake up several times in the middle of the night with hip pain. I would wake up early with back pain. We have had our Tempur-pedic 4-weeks so far, and neither of us has had this pain. We bought the adjustable base and it definitely has cut down snoring.

I've had this mattress for about 7 months now and my posture has gotten better as well. I would recommend for those who have only known old box springs, this will be wayyyy better.
