[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First lets start off that this is an absolutely beautiful mattress, expensive but beautiful. But getting straight to it, for the price, the craftmanship should be wayyyy better. There were tons of stray threads all over the mattress which to me is unacceptable for the price. There are "nooks/divots" all over the mattress which can be slightly uncomfortable if your used to your traditional smooth mattress. I especially don't like this feature around the edges of the mattress because when you sit at the edge of the bed it feels like it is sinking in but it is not. When it comes to the comfort of the bed I received the medium pillow top. My mattress before was a firm and I would rotate using a memory foam topper ever 6 months. The first 2 weeks on this mattress was an absolute nightmare! I could not fall asleep, tossed and turned and woke up with constant back pain. For reference I am 5'9 200+ lbs and sleep alone so I had tons of room to roam on the mattress. By week 3 I was sleeping through the night and since then, every night is the best sleep I have ever had! You will have to break in this mattress which is a bit disappointing due to the price. The mattress is firm but still comfy, soft and welcoming without feeling suffocated. I attribute this to the pillow top giving added comfort. There is no noise (squeaks) when getting on/off the mattress and movement does not transfer if you are sharing the mattress with a child or partner. The mattress does sit quite high on the box spring but I like that since I am tall myself. I've had it for 2 months and it is holding up well, no sagging or anything. I expect this mattress to last a lifetime!

I have had my new bed for almost 2 months and from the first night I slept on it my back aches stopped and my feet were not hanging over the bottom. I have felt rested and get good sleep nightly. I love the ability to raise the mattress so I can watch TV and when I have had a hard day adjust it to the position I need for the night.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress proved to be excellent for my back. I was skeptical for the ultra firmness but it proved that this is what I wanted. I do not use a spring box and I have it on the floor (sleep with my 2yr son). It helped my back pain disappear and it is highly recommended if you are sleeping on your back. Granted, I'm not able to sleep on my stomach any more but I do not care. It is a thick mattress that adds several inches clearance from the ground. Sitting on the edge doesn't create an issue i.e. it doesn't sank in. It may take a couple of days to adjust to it but I will never go back.

Just simply falling asleep and waking up in the morning... well rested!!! I cannot recommend this mattress enough! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sterns & Foster sent me this mattress to review. I generally prefer firm mattress but was willing to give this one a try. I didn't know what to expect with a "medium tight top" mattress. It's softer than what I believe a medium should be, however it is very comfortable. It is a deep navy color and very thick, looks very nice. The only negative I have found so far, is that I feel it sleeps a little warmer than my previous mattress. Nothing a little change in the room temperature couldn't fix though.

This mattress itself looks luxury. It is pretty thick, but has vents on both sides to keep it cool. Have been using the mattress for more than a month. The mattress is comfortable, haven't cause my back pain up to now. My husband thinks the 'cool to the touch' feather is not as good as it looks like. He feels this mattress is a little hotter than our old one, I don't think so though. One thing I don't like about his mattress is that, it is too tall for me, I am 5'2" and I have to climb onto the bed every time. Even my husband who is 6'2" thinks it is too tall.

First, I am one to never change something I like and am comfortable with. I've had my current mattress now for 7 years and I love it and it's the best. Or so I thought before I tried the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress. This mattress is everything I could want. Let's start with its appearance. I got the Queen mattress and the color is Dark blue with 3 gray fleur de lis on it. Almost didn't want to put sheets over it with how regal it looks. It's a thick/deep mattress at about 16 inches with handles on the side to move easier. It also has a pillowtop which is a nice touch. It's smooth and silky to the touch and great quality stitching. It is a firm mattress, but with the soft pillowtop it feels really comfortable. Not so much that you sink in, but definitely enough to be enjoyable. It's not bouncy like coil mattresses and not stiff like the firm foam mattresses. As GoldiLocks would say, "it's just right". I slept on this mattress for 7 days. With this mattress I wake up feeling actually refreshed. I haven't slept a full night in I don't even know how long. Limited tossing and turning as well. Seemed to feel and stay cooler than my old mattress too. On my old mattress I had shoulder pain when I woke up. Now I'm not going to say it's gone, but 75% better for sure. My rating for the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress is an easy 10/10. Amazing product! I've already raves about it to my friends and family. My Dad is coming this weekend to try it out too. Saying goodbye to my old foam mattress and I will be investing in another for my guest room soon. It will be worth every penny!

Purchased a very expensive estate mattress for second home in Florida. Only have slept on the mattress less than a month! The mattress is defective. Mattress sinks in when lying on it. I am a very petite woman who is older. STEARS & foster will not stand behind their products if you are out of their said warranty period NO EXCEPTIONS! THEIR COMMERCIALS ARE LIES. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY VERY DISHONEST COMPANY

My son owned a Cassette Luxery Ultra Plush which was no longer offered so when I called Stearns & Foster they advised me to buy the Lux Estate Pillowtop Soft. The customer service representive told me to try and find a store that carried that mattress before finalizing my order and to try it out. I found the mattress and brought my son along to see if it was comparable to his mattress and we both agreed that it was. I paid for my order and was so excited to receive it. I placed the order in mid June and it was delivered on July 3'd. The first thing that I noticed was that the mattress had a Sealy tag attached to it and I even questioned the guys who delivered it but they were unable to answer my questions. I knew that I ordered it from Stearns & Foster and they take pride on making your mattress so they say. The next thing I did was to lay on the mattress and I knew immediately that it wasn't the same that I laid on in the store. I called customer service several times and they advised me to walk on the mattress to make it softer. The next time they told me that my mattress was firm because of the temperture in my house. In the end they told me to try a featherbed to break it in and when that didn't work I bought a three inch gel mattress topper. After poor customer service I'm stuck with a mattress that cost a lot and is poor quality. My message to anyone who is considering on buying this mattress is just don't waste your money! I had a problem and customer service hung up on me several times before getting someone to help me. Because of them and their advice I have a firm mattress that I'm highly dissatisified with. I saved up to buy a mattress like my son had because I have pemanent muscle spasms but I feel like I'm laying on a brick pile. I'm using the gel topper so I can at least tolerate it. It's by far the most expensive mistake that I have ever made!!
