[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mattress is comfortable enough, but extremely heavy. It is most difficult to lift while placing a fitted mattress protector and fitted sheet. I wish I would have be appraised of this in the store. It is not practical for anyone with ordinary strength. I noticed the delivery men even had difficulty lifting it to remove the plastic covering. What do you suggest?

Definitely firm, I was concerned it would be too firm But it hasnt been. It's cooler Than my old pillow top but I'm sure that has something to Do with the inter workings of the bed. The pillowtop makes me feel like I'm sleeping on a soft, pillowy cloud and I can tell by the design, this mattress is durable and will last for a long time . I really like the elegant look of the mattress as well. I definitely recommend this mattress to anyone looking for outstanding comfort and quality.

We are finally able to get the best sleep we've had in years. We look forward to going to bed and "melting" into our new S&F mattress.

Great at first but didn't last long... The depressions where we've slept are so bad that it's impossible to slept anywhere else. We always end up back in the depressions. Over time, it's gotten worse and worse and worse. We also got the adjustable base. It's so poorly crafted that we feel every movement all night long. We've had 17 months and we're already replacing. 4K down the drain for a crappy mattress and adjustable bar. Save you money and shop elsewhere.

If you often feel your bed is too soft the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Ultra Firm Tight Top is the mattress for you. I lay on the floor because it help my back but since having this matress, I no longer need to. It is very firm, the firmest matress Ive ever used and it doesn't make me sink down . Since having it, my hips and back no longer have pain. I sleep longer and wake up refreshed and without pain. My previous matress was semi-firm but gave out after a few weeks. It started having dips and was extremely soft. After a few weeks of using the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Ultra Firm Tight Top, it still holds up its firmest. This matress is thick where a box spring would sit you up really high off the floor. I would recommend a bunky board instead of a box spring. If you do enjoy laying on the floor, this is the matress for you! You wont regret it.Definitely recommended this product

I suffer with low back pain, but even after 1 sleep on this matress, I could move better & think clearer because I slept so good! When I read about this mattress having a cooling technology, I really didn't believe it, until I slept on it. I did not get overheated during the night, which was amazing because we leave out thermostat a little warmed than the downstatirs, so it was a win for me! Purchased another Stearns mattress and within 6 months it sank 2", I had to file a claim and this is the second one I purchased. The other was discontinued so I was at first worried about a firm pillow top that my store had but one nights sleep was good. I have severe back pain and needing a hip replacement in 2 months. So far feels great. Wasn't too firm. Comfortable to sleep in. Hoping this one will last! Can't say yet if it helps with pain because I'm in a lot of pain but I know the last one was great at first.

I have slept more comfortably and soundly than I did before. The mattress is very firm and doesn't sink, it's reliable and supportive. It's best for back or stomach sleepers as it is a very firm mattress. My husband is a large man and we've found this has supported both of our weights comfortably while not sagging or dipping. The mattress stays very cool even on these hot summer nights. It is very heavy so there's no moving it without strong help. Overall, the mattress is made soundly with breathable material that has helped us stay cool as well as no sag in the material. I would recommend this product for the firmness, quality and how well it breathes and stays cool.

have owned a few S&F but this one hasn't lasted very long as far as sagging in the middle. I have to get a new mattress quickly as my back is hurting. If I sleep at a nice Hotel, I feel great and have no back pain. Sorry S&F, I paid allot or this mattress and expected it to last longer. the tag states Dina Pammill was the Master Craftsman made in Indiana and also has Eileen Leigh name on it along with the number 5691.
