This is a replacement for a tempur-pedic that 'lost it's memory' and sagged. This new mattress is extremely hard, but we really love it! We got so used to sleeping on the bad mattress that this one actually took us a few nights to get used to, but it has been well worth it! We knew from trying one out in the store that it didn't quite have that 'contouring' effect, but our last two mattresses had that and sagged within a short period of time. I have high hopes for this mattress!! Also, I'd like to say that tempur-pedic really stands behind their mattresses and my claim was handled very quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend them!

Not only its a the densest in consistency but it keeps just enough softness on the surface to not make the mattress rock solid. There is no sinking or stuck feeling in the mattress at all. It is highly recommended from me. Worth each and every penny!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find this bed comfortable. It is quite tall, and may be a problem for those who are short, or have mobility issues. My only complaint, after six weeks, is the outgassing of the bed. Initially the smell was very strong, so I did not even use the bed for the first 10 nights!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous non-split Mattress was designated as firm however, it was extremely comfortable and not as hard as this one. I do like this one, but I am thinking of switching it out for a medium firm one.

Husband and I both have bad backs, but apparently have grown to thrive on our 11 year old Tempurpedic, which was firm initially, but with constant use by us and two large dogs had apparently became a bit less firm. Our mistake was not going to the store to try the mattresses. When my husband finally did go he received quality advice from the sales person, thus making the decision to exchange the firm ProAdapt twin mattress for a second Medium ProAdapt. Tempurpedic was more than sympathetic and helpful. Their 90 day exchange policy is more than fair. We needed to pay an additional shipping fee, but, after agonizing for days about this finally decided the medium was the way to go. We do appreciate Tempurpedic's flexibility. Thank you, all!

Our previous mattress was medium density but we needed more support after sustaining injuries over the years. I started to have hip pain and my husband back pain. The firm density instantly began to reduce our pain. It took around 1 week to break in the mattress as expected. We are sleeping peacefully and with dramatically reduced pain at night. We are Tempur Pedic clients for life.

She developed that cozy spot no matter how we turned or rotated the mattress. Then one day getting up she felt a spring poking through the cover and she said I think it's time to consider a new mattress. We went to a few stores and spent hours trying various brands and found this product to be incredible. It has the support comfort and temperature to allow a restful sleep where you wake up feeling well rested. The mattress is expensive and a bit disappointing that it is not manufactured in the United States hence the 4 star rating.

I learned a long time ago that you truly do 'get what you pay for' and, in this case, I absolutely have no regrets in paying for, and getting, a premium mattress that has helped us so much. My hip and shoulder pain were GONE after only a few nights. The motion transfer or disruption is just nonexistent (which I find great value in), and overall we just sleep soundly! I waited for far too many years to make this crucial investment for my physical health but also my mental as I sleep soundly now and wake up feeling way better. If this is in your budget, I can confidently say that it is highly unlikely you'd be anything but happy with your purchase. I tried almost literally a dozen other mattresses, trying to get to this quality, but now I know I should've started with a TempurPedic.

I always thought I was getting a good night's sleep until my new Tempur-pedic ProAdapt became a part of my life! I wake up with a completely rested body now. The plus is that the adjustable bed makes my legs feel so much better. I suffer from adult onset muscular dystrophy and the various settings are so helpful with my comfort. TV watching is an added plus!

The twin XL is idea for couples to pick the right kind of's comfort yeah it's 8 kind of comfort you each may need. My wife need ed the medium and I need ed the soft. We are both happy campers and the thickness of 12" is truly to their words as I took a tape measure to it all around. This is our 3rd temperpedic and it's has been worth it!
