Love it!

Drop dead Emeril! We purchased the Emeril 10 in 1 French Door Airfryer at Sam’s Club on 11/11/23. The word Grill is on the box. A large billboard sign showed the Emeril Airfryer and a woman grilling two steaks. The top of the box shows two perfectly grilled steaks. The box states that it grills. The Sam’s Club web-site shows a large photo that states “500° Grilling & Searing.” Die cast grill plate locks in juices and outdoor barbecue flavor with char-grilled marks.” There is another photo of all of the accessories. It clearly shows the grill plate and the grill plate handle. The grill plate handle is needed to remove the Grill Plate and the Crisper Tray from the oven. Along with the Emeril Airfryer we purchased some steaks, went home and were ready to grill them. We opened the box and the grill plate and the grill plate handle were missing. I pulled out the quick start guide, user manual and recipe book. On the back of the manual was the phone number for Empower brands. When I called them a nasty woman answered and let me know that the retail version of this product does not come with the Grill Plate or the Grill Plate handle. I told her the photos on the Sam’s Club and Amazon web-sites and their descriptions of the Emeril Airfryer showed that it did. I told her the box shows it too. She let me know that I would not know that the griddle did not come with the item unless I first purchased the Airfryer and then opened the box and turned to page #6 of the user manual that shows the griddle with an asterisk next to it. Page #6 did not have a description of what the asterisk was. Page #7 is titled “Parts & Accessories” and is numbered 1 through 14. Item # 14 is the description of the grill Plate Handle. It states, “Attach to the Crisper Tray or the Grill Plate to remove from the appliance.” Under that is the asterisk from the photo of the Grill Plate on previous page. It states’ “May be sold separately.” A large photo of the Grill Plate Handle is on the side of the box under “Additional; Accessories” Empower Brands let me know they sell the Griddle for $25.99 and the Grill Plate Handle for$19.99 plus tax, shipping and possible extra credit card charges if you do not use a debit card to make the purchase. Empower brands posts the following legal disclaimer, “We charge a credit card processing fee for payments made using a credit card. The fee is not more than our cost of acceptance of the card.” Empower Brands is obviously a “Bait & Switch” company. This Grill Plate is specific to model FAFO-001 only. This Grill Plate is not sold ANYWHERE other than directly from Empower Brands. This Grill Plate Handle is specific to model FAFO-001 only. This Grill Plate Handle is not sold ANYWHERE other than directly from Empower Brands. For you to use this product as advertised, it will cost you an additional $45.98 plus an extra credit card processing fee, sales tax and shipping. This is really ridiculous! Sam’s Club verified every point I made. They acted innocent but they were absolutely aware of this issue because many people have left complaints. In summary, Empower Brands told me over and over again that to see what is actually inside the box I have to buy and open the box. Drop dead Emeril, you should be ashamed.

7 months in I tried the broiler. Doesn't work. Under the warranty, they want me to pay $39.99 for a replacement. That's not a warranty!!!! Sam's should stop doing business with this horrible company. And as others have said, their pans are crap. Thin, not really non-stick, and badly discolored.

Too hottttt

We were VERY disappointed in this product! My youngest teenage son tried to cook fish sticks and it took almost 10 minutes to preheat, then when he had to open the the door to flip them half way through cooking ALL the heat escaped and it didn't fully heat back up until the cook time was almost over. He was not impressed with soggy fish sticks! His older brother, after seeing his brother's struggle, decided he was going to cook chicken strips and not open the door until the timer went off. That didn't work either, it struggled to maintain the temperature even without opening the door. After they both complained, I went and took a good look at the machine. There is a gap between the 2 doors in the front! No wonder it couldn't hold the set temp! My husband tried to use the "toast" feature, and said he made toast shaped croutons!

$139 would be a great price if the product was represented properly. You are missing the Grill tray and Arm. I did call the company before I bought it and they verified that to get the parts would be $45.00 I actually found out about this though the reviews ( thank you) I took it anyway because retail it's a $300.00 unit. I wanted to see if I can get the parts cheaper. You can't. I did find the same unit on another sight ( on sale for $169 )everything included so I ordered that and will be returning this. I will be only saving $10.00 buying the unit from the other sight ( with everything included) but it's the idea of feeling the product was mis represented. So it was a feeling issue with me. To be honest this deal is not bad because even if you upgrade you still pay $100 less than full retail, but who wants to go though the hassel. I would also have to trust a company that is not a major retailor so I'm happy with what I did. Before writing this review I did re look at the ad on this sight and the picture of the Grill Tray is not there. So technically it's not mis represented ( I guess) So as a new customer ( if I didn't read the review) I would not have known the difference until I opened up the instruction manual. Thanks to the reviews I didn't open the box yet so the return will be easier on me and Sams Club. Bottom line it's not a terrible deal because at full retail it does cost $300.00. To upgrade the unit it will cost you $184.00 Sams does have a wonderful return policy and you are safe with them. It is a known thing on certain items with the Walmart Company ( especially) electronics manufactures cut cost to make the same item special for Wal-Mart. I did not know that applied to Sam's. Don't worry Sam;s I still love you. This same thing happened at Walmart last week I saw a shark Hydro vac for $125. When i opened it I realised it didn't have replacement parts In. If I bought the unit on my other website it was over $200. So I ordered the parts and i only came out to be $20.00 So now i'm into $150.00 thats a deal ok mine doesn't have led lights but in that instance I got a great deal so it works both ways. .

Great unit

This air fryer is so tiny. Went to the store on other shopping business and decided to check it out because of the eMails Sam's Club was pushing out on this. It's almost like an Easy Bake oven, like a toy intended for kids, size. Would not recommend this.

The box and description suggest that you will have what you need to use all the features.This is not the case. This product does not contain the broiling pan or the broiling pan holder, which it turns out you can buy separately, but I’m not sure where.

Airfryer takes FOREVER. My small toaster oven does a better job "air frying" than this big thing. Have to remove the different trays when cooking different items but can't put them on top. Takes up a lot of counter space and you can't put anything close to it or on top because it has vents all over so no where to put the trays not in use there either. Doors work in sync and they snap shut if you don't hold them and make a loud noise. I didn't use the rotisserie because it looked like it would be a big clean up. No grill pan included, must purchase separately, so I didn't try grilling either. So, for use as an oven/air fryer, not great. I returned it to Sam's and reclaimed my counter with my small toaster oven. Had high hopes for this but it was disappointing. I bought it on sale for 139.99 at Same's now it's back up to 179.99, save your $$$.
