Horrible

Cake was dry and thick, lacking flavor. The inside was mostly sprinkles instead of real candy. I purchased this for a party and I was very embarrassed.

FUN idea, TERRIBLE cake

Maybe if sams made this in house. My 4 year old wouldn't even eat it. The frosting was more like a plaster coating like you use in bathroom repair. Tasted like a cardboard box left in a room with mothballs. Seriously, save your money.

Don't Do It

Bought it for my sons birthday, ended up throwing it out. Very dry, the cake has no flavor and the icing is hard and only tastes like sugar. Never again.

Kids Love It!

Kids are amazed! They try to figure out how they got the candy inside. It's very cute! It's doesn't taste that great, and there is no frosting on the side of the cake, but it's still presentable. No complaints from the children. You can easily spread your favorite frosting around side if you like more frosting. Cutting the cake in small pieces you can feed 15- 20.

Waste of money

Gross and dry

The novelty is great and fun idea..Getting the paper off was rediculos. The cake was dry, tasteless, and the frosting so sweet even the sugar monster kids wouldn't eat it. The party was in the evening so couldn't return/exchange it. Never again will i buy a Sams cake, except the tuxedo!

Not a good choice

I bought this cake, excited for the surprise filling. It looked good but the cake was dry and didn't have much flavor. The m&ms and sprinkles inside were a great surprise, but we needed ice cream to make the cake edible. A room full of teens and no one wanted seconds. Threw away 1/4 of the cake. We've always been proud to serve Sam's Club foods for a party. I was embarassed that I served this cake.

Very dry no one liked it

It really is a shame because this is such a cute idea but there's something about it it's just so dry people like moist bakery tasting things not dry especially not in cakes and cupcakes and muffins and that kind of thing . Two stars because it is cute

Hard to cut and lacking flavor

Unfortunately, this cake was a disappointment. It looked great. The candy center flowed awesomely, but the flavor was not great. The icing on top was not a good flavor or texture, and the icing in the middle was too sweet. I think there were just too many things going on. The entire cake also fell apart after the first cut and made a huge mess.

A mess, needs frosting inside to hold

Looked better than tasted and kind of a disappointment. Cake was very dry. Could have used more frosting on lower part of cake. Inside was pretty blaw and tastless. Especially messy all over counter and floor sprinkles (like a whole hugh containers WORTH dumped inside) that it gagged you. needed frosting inside to keep moist and hold candy in place from making a dry tastless mess everywhere. Could have used a better variety of candy inside than a mass of tastless sprinkles. Would not buy again. There are better cakes for a better price instead of this.

Not Good, Waste of money

It's overly sweet and very dry, the M&M's are just placed in the middle, so when you cut a slice, they pour out. I bought it thinking it looked intriguing for the kids, they were not impressed, nor did they like it. It was a waste of $18.00, it was thrown away! Unless you like over sweet tasteless dry cake, save your money.
