Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt Medium Hybrid Mattress

After my 30 days of sleep trial I plan to go to the soft. Firm is too hard for me. At this point I don't think I could recommend this mattress.

This is my second Tempur-pedic mattress and would definitely recommend Tempur-pedic to anyone. Best mattress if you have back problems.

Quality Product

Adapted quickly to the new mattress. The comfortable but firm support has helped my back a great deal. I no longer wake up with a morning back ache.

Still trying to decide if I like the mattress. My wife says that it was different in the store. I'll give it more time. So far not life changing.

Too Early

Prior to this I owned a Tempur-Pedic Cloud Supreme. The best mattress I ever owned until it eventually failed. With that said I knew I was going back with another Tempur-Pedic. I replaced it with this TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt® 2.0 Medium Hybrid - Queen after months of testing and sleeping in random stores. I've had this mattress for over a year and it is miserable. I kept thinking that it wasn't broken in but in a year it should be. It is super firm and sleeps extremely hot. I've never had an issue with sweating overnight until this mattress. Though the description says cool to touch it is very misleading . It's unfortunate I sleep better in hotels then at home. After spending so much money on a mattress I'm frustrated that I'm now going to have to buy another mattress. I just can't trust going back with another Tempur-Pedic

Most uncomfortable mattress I've ever owned

And I am speaking from experience! At 69 years of age, I decided to go for the Cadillac of mattresses. Yes, there was sticker shock, but worth every penny! I have never slept so well, especially since my aches and pains increased with age. I am a side sleeper, but it was a painful position with every other mattress that I have owned. And I can now even sleep on my back for the first time ever! Not for long, mind you, but I love than I can do it even briefly. The ONLY thing I'm not crazy about is the fact that the bottom sheet often slips off during the night. This is largely because you do not use a mattress pad with tempurpedics. Customer service will recommend buying their sheets or investing in a Tempurpedic mattress cover. The latter, I'm afraid, would interfere with the cooling feature of the luxe adapt. And I'm too fussy about my sheets to try theirs.
