[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second TempurPedic mattress and we are very happy with the quality and feel of the TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt Firm mattress. The mattress is very supportive and comfortable. Years of back pain had me searching for a better mattress and TempurPedic was the answer. We ordered directly from the TempurPedic website and was very happy with the customer support we received. All my questions were answered thoroughly via the online chat and on the phone and the sales associate was very friendly and professional. I would like to mention that this mattress is higher than a traditional mattress and will effect the choice of foundation. A 9" traditional foundation with this mattress will be quite high. We opted for a 5" traditional foundation as our bedroom set is more traditional, and the height was just right. We will continue to purchase and recommend these wonderful mattress to our family and friends.

Not one to write reviews but read several during my research of this mattresses and took them with a grain of salt. We have owned the original Tempur Pedic mattress (the one that came without different softness levels. You just ordered it by which size you wanted and I guess they just cut a slab of material). We had that mattress for years and after breaking it in from its rock hard state it became quite comfortable. As the years pasted (at least 15) I began to have problems with my shoulders as I sleep on my side. Finally decided to purchase a new mattress. My wife did not want to replace the one we had even though it was long over due as she said it was fine for her. We both had concerns that we may end up with an expensive mattress that was uncomfortable but my lack of sleep pushed me forward. I was about to purchase one of the existing Tempur mattress when a friend of mine told me wait a few weeks as they were releasing a new line. The Tempur Lux-Adapt. He said "Its a whole new animal". Taking his word i waited the 3-4 more weeks (guessed he should know as he was a manager at one of the local mattress stores) and said he tried them out at some show. When the beds arrived at our local furniture (didnt purchase the bed from my friend, sorry buddy) store they had the Lux-Adapt in firm and medium. Since our old Tempur mattress was firm and that was also what the Mrs liked I purchased that in a king size along with the Ergo-Extend base. Let me tell you the reviews were right. This mattress is prefect. I'll repeat what I read in other reviews that we really cant wait to get into bed. Its that comfortable. The Lux-Adapt in firm has just the right amout of compression. You conform to about 3-4 inches is my best guess and then you dont continue to sink further. I am six feet tall and weigh 175 pounds and my wife is small and weighs about 100-105 pounds. The bed is comfortable for both of us. she loves it and I constantly remind her that it was my idea! I am getting great REM sleep again after years of tossing and turning due to shoulder discomfort. Fantastic! The only down side some may find is that it sleeps a little warmer that our original tempur pedic. Probably due to the fact that it comforms better. The only other complaint I have is that I bought a second remote for the Ergo-Extend base only to find out you can only use one programmed remote at a time. This is something that needs to be resolved. A bed at this price point and size you should not have to be crawling to the other side to get the remote out from the bedside caddy. We have two TV remotes on each side of the bed just for this reason. Guess its some liability issue the attorneys told them about. Dont want the Mrs to ask you to get something from under the bed that she dropped only to have her lower it down on you! LOL. Seriously this is a software issue and can surely be fixed. Doing so will make the base more easily usable. Not everyone gets in bed at the same time and dont want to have to hunt for remotes. All and all only minor complaints. Literally loving the bed and the great comfortable sleep we're getting. So glad we made the change and glad I took my friends advice and waited for these new mattresses to arrive. If you are considering a memory foam mattress you have to try out a Tempur Pedic, yes they are costly but they last. Considering how much good night's sleep worth and the length of time we spend in bed annually it can be money well spent.

I love my new Temperpedic mattress so far. I had previously owned a firm mattress. We decided to go with the soft this time because it felt so comfortable in the show room. My only concern is that it may become softer over time. The firm mattress we had for over 15 years. It was great! The reason we replaced it was because in a move, the moving people bent the mattress and created a "lump" in it. We purchased a platform for the new mattress instead of a box spring. Is this recommended?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to love softer plush mattresses but with years of exercise, I felt a slightly more firm mattress would help me recover. I was fortunately to try the TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt Medium Hybrid mattress. Delivery was so easy; they were in and out in minutes, brought shoe covers, and were pleasant. I've been sleeping on the mattress for less than 1 week but so far, I love it! I have a little hip tenderness from IT band syndrome that still hurts when I wake up but hoping with time, my body gets used to the new mattress.

I've now had my mattress 7 months and it is NOTHING like it was at the store. When I tested the mattress at the store it was like sleeping on a cloud. I fell in love. My mattress is somewhat firm and now has a dip in the middle. Super uncomfortable and I wake up stiff and sore every morning and get the worst sleep. I do not recommend this mattress.

Do not buy from temperpedic. The new lineup of beds they offer are no longer of the same quality they use to provide. There are many other options from other companies that are by far superior than temperpedic. It's sad because they use to provide a great product. Unfortunately those days are gone.

Bought a new Cal King frame and a competitor's product, literally the most highly praised mattress on a half dozen reviews. I admit I was coming from a $16K Queen-sized mattress, so a $3K Cal King would not likely be competitive, but I was shocked at the result - almost immediate backaches from the beginning. After a month of agony, I returned it and went straight to the TempurPedic store in Jacksonville. Awesome staff and help. Struggled with two different ones and on a second visit, finally selected a bit firmer, more akin to the original Queen matress, rather than the new Cal King. Lo and behold, glorious nights' sleep. Tremendously comfortable right from the beginning. Waking up refreshed is worth any price, but this Luxe Adapt-Firm was truly price competitive. Love it!!

When the mattress was delivered, I thought it was a bit too firm. I searched reviews and most people felt the same way once it was delivered. After the first night, I realized it is absolutely perfect. I am out of town now and staying in an upscale luxury brand hotel but can't wait to get home to my own bed!!

I LOVE this bed! It used to take me forever to fall asleep and I was always tossing and turning during the night. Now I fall asleep quickly because the mattress conforms to my body. If you are a side or back sleeper-- this is the mattress for you! My husband used to have hip pain from sleeping on his side.. after a week on this bed, his pain is completely gone! Highly recommend!
