This mattress has changed our life. Its expensive but worth it. Highly recommend. Never slipped better. Im a shoulder sleeper and my shoulder numbness had gone away in one night on this mattress. We have tried other big name mattresses and end up buying new ones just after the warranty has expired( with hopes of the mattress fitting to our needs). When we purchased our Tempurpedic it was immediate results after one night sleep. You do need the mattress to air out after opening. It has a strong oder. Try to get an early delivery or air out over night.

Not one to write reviews but read several during my research of this mattresses and took them with a grain of salt. We have owned the original Tempur Pedic mattress (the one that came without different softness levels. You just ordered it by which size you wanted and I guess they just cut a slab of material). We had that mattress for years and after breaking it in from its rock hard state it became quite comfortable. As the years pasted (at least 15) I began to have problems with my shoulders as I sleep on my side. Finally decided to purchase a new mattress. My wife did not want to replace the one we had even though it was long over due as she said it was fine for her. We both had concerns that we may end up with an expensive mattress that was uncomfortable but my lack of sleep pushed me forward. I was about to purchase one of the existing Tempur mattress when a friend of mine told me wait a few weeks as they were releasing a new line. The Tempur Lux-Adapt. He said "Its a whole new animal". Taking his word i waited the 3-4 more weeks (guessed he should know as he was a manager at one of the local mattress stores) and said he tried them out at some show. When the beds arrived at our local furniture (didnt purchase the bed from my friend, sorry buddy) store they had the Lux-Adapt in firm and medium. Since our old Tempur mattress was firm and that was also what the Mrs liked I purchased that in a king size along with the Ergo-Extend base. Let me tell you the reviews were right. This mattress is prefect. I'll repeat what I read in other reviews that we really cant wait to get into bed. Its that comfortable. The Lux-Adapt in firm has just the right amout of compression. You conform to about 3-4 inches is my best guess and then you dont continue to sink further. I am six feet tall and weigh 175 pounds and my wife is small and weighs about 100-105 pounds. The bed is comfortable for both of us. she loves it and I constantly remind her that it was my idea! I am getting great REM sleep again after years of tossing and turning due to shoulder discomfort. Fantastic! The only down side some may find is that it sleeps a little warmer that our original tempur pedic. Probably due to the fact that it comforms better. The only other complaint I have is that I bought a second remote for the Ergo-Extend base only to find out you can only use one programmed remote at a time. This is something that needs to be resolved. A bed at this price point and size you should not have to be crawling to the other side to get the remote out from the bedside caddy. We have two TV remotes on each side of the bed just for this reason. Guess its some liability issue the attorneys told them about. Dont want the Mrs to ask you to get something from under the bed that she dropped only to have her lower it down on you! LOL. Seriously this is a software issue and can surely be fixed. Doing so will make the base more easily usable. Not everyone gets in bed at the same time and dont want to have to hunt for remotes. All and all only minor complaints. Literally loving the bed and the great comfortable sleep we're getting. So glad we made the change and glad I took my friends advice and waited for these new mattresses to arrive. If you are considering a memory foam mattress you have to try out a Tempur Pedic, yes they are costly but they last. Considering how much good night's sleep worth and the length of time we spend in bed annually it can be money well spent.

The bed works wonder for my hips. No more waking up in pain. It's hard to get up out of the bed thought because it does sink in and shapes to your body's form. This makes it a bit hard to just roll out of bed. My only gripe is that the base squeaks and creaks when I turn over or move. A brand new bed and base should not be making any noise when I move around. Did the delivery guys assemble it correctly? Did they miss a screw or something. The bed should not be creaking as if it were an old bed used for years. I've only had it a few months. What gives? This is unacceptable for a brand new bed and base. Other than that, I do get a more restful and painfree sleep.

I have had my TEMPUR-Luxe Adapt Soft for 3 months. I love how it supports my Lumbar Spine and molds to my body even when I turn in my sleep. I love how I sleep straight through the night and wake up refreshed. It stays cool; the mattress doesn't warm up, so I don't wake up because I am hot/warm. This is my first TEMPUR PEDIC, and I am really happy I purchased it.

While the price was a bit more than we really wanted to spend, we decided to "splurge" in hopes that this mattress ends up lasting us at least twice as long as other mattress. So far, we have been very pleased. I was at first worried that the tempur-pedic foam would be hot, but I have never woken up feeling hot or sweaty. My husband also agrees that he has not felt hot either. Everytime we leave for vacation or sleep other than our home, we cannot wait to get back to our Tempur-Pedic bed! We highly recommend the purchase!

We had a 20 year old Tempurpedic mattress that we thought was fine. As a breast cancer survivor, I take medication that causes mild aches and pains and stiffness (a very small price to pay for continued good health!). For years, I have gotten out of bed and walked across the bedroom like a 100 year old person. The very first morning with this new one, I was completely not stiff, not sore, and immediately moved comfortably. Who knew that my issues were related to the mattress? This one is marvelous.

By far the most comfortable mattress that we have owned. It is extremely supportive and creates no motion at all so you are not disrupted when your spouse or pets move in the night. Makes for a great night's sleep. Any back, hip and neck pain that I had in the morning is gone. I don't even wake up stiff in the morning anymore. No doubt that these mattresses are expensive, but so far we are very happy with the investment.

Customer service is the best in the business and I couldn't recommend this company more. Temperpedic goes above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what you want. It is a great releif when other companies talk a big game until they get your money and then tend to disappear. But the pillows and sheets for the most amazing sleep you will ever have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of all the mattresses I have purchased This one is by far the firmest. I have used a number of different mattress sets over the years looking for a really firm bed that does not break down over the course of one or two years and cause dips. This mattress is nice and firm when you sit on it or lay down you slowly sinking just enough to level out your body and then it stops. This is definitely something to get used to. We have only had the bed a few days however noticeably feeling better getting out of bed in the morning. The reason it is getting four stars is because I have not had the bed long enough to make a solid decision on the value coupled with the price tag of this mattress. We also purchased the cooling pillows and they are magnificent quality I'm not sure 12-15 pounds. I want to be clear on value a lot of people think value means cost. This is only part of it. Value is the benefits subtracted by the cost. Benefits - Cost = Value

I guess I did not realize how much I needed a new mattress, and most of all: I never dreamed I would buy a foam matress. This mattress is so comfortable, and I was told it may take a while to break it in. There was no breaking in ever with the Tempur-pedic Luxadapt SOFT. My insomnia went away and I now sleep later. It was expensive, but worth the investment. The only con is that you do not want to sleep right on the edge, as your body sinks down on the foam and you could slide out of bed. Just move over some. No big deal. Also, the ease makes a big difference too. If I lift my legs up a small amount, it gently pushes my lower back into the mattress, and that gives me great back relief while sleeping and when I wake up.
