Do not buy the luxe adapt firm. The lady at Tempurpedic said most people get soft and return it for the firm. Firm is horrible. My wife and I are both side sleepers and after 6months on this horrible stiff mattress we want to get rid of it! We should have gone with soft even though the sales lady said soft isn't good and most people return it. Do not buy firm. We are putting a mattress topper on ours as a last ditch effort before we just donate it! Our backs, shoulders, and chest are sore from this firm brick bed! I've had Tempurpedic before and it was incredible. This "Luxe" firm is bad and stiff as the floor. Do not recommend. Do not buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd Tempur-Pedic, but the only reason I am not still sleeping on my first is because it is in my RV and this way I never have to suffer no matter where I am sleeping! The first one is 9 years old and it still feels like brand new!!! 9 years ago, I decided to try Tempur-Pedic because I injured my back several times over my very active life and I would wake up every morning in great pain; additionally, spring mattresses I had bought always ended up with hills and valleys. After 1 week of sleeping on my 1st Tempur-Pedic, I was waking up with NO back pain and that has remained the case over the years. My new Tempur-Pedic is amazing, even better than the 1st, which means Tempur-Pedic must be always working to improve their product. I bought the ergo extended base, which allows me many sleeping and relaxing options and I am always comfortable in my downtime. Thank you Tempur-Pedic for improving my life with your amazing products!!

I waited to make this review to allow time to change my mind. My complaint isn't the mattress, its the odor that comes from it. The first night we slept on it I had to go sleep in the guest room. The fumes that came from it were more than I could tolerate. Next night my husband joined me. For three days, we set our mattresses out on saw horses outside to hopefully help with the odor. After those three days, we put them on the frame without any bedding and I opened the window and put a fan on them all day. We continued to sleep in the guest room. After about 10 days, I made up the bed and we slept in it. I am a side sleeper so that puts my face closer to the mattress. My husband sleeps on his back so it wasn't as bothersome to him. Although I enjoy the mattress and enjoy the feel and comfort of it and all that the it does with our special frame, I wouldn't be able to recommend it. I do have a very sensitive sense of smell, but this odor was over the top.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of this mattress is impressive. I love that it comes encased already. Beware that if you are transitioning from a softer mattress like I am, you will need to take time to adjust. Firm absolutely means firm for this mattress. However after you lay down you will slowly feel yourself sink into the memory foam of the mattress and its supports your body. My previous mattress always left me feeling as if I needed more sleep. I wake up now more refreshed and ready for the day. I haven't had any back issues since using this. I may get a topper to add a little more cushion but over great quality, delivery was fast and efficient and absolutely a great mattress to have!

We made quite a few visits to Tempurpedic showrooms. I wanted a firm bed but this model feels softer than expected. It is called a "firm" but the Luxe Adapt has an extra layer on the top of the bed which makes it feel softer to me. When shopping for the mattress, I liked the feel of the Pro Adapt Firm. It does not have the extra layer on top and it costs less. Salespeople suggested the Pro Adapt Firm would be too firm for a side sleeper giving pressure to shoulders, hips and knees. So, I was swayed a bit by the salespeople and bought the Luxe Adapt. It's a good bed and we get a decent nights sleep. But, it just feels too soft. By the way, the delivery, installation and take of the old mattress was perfect.

My husband and I both had such backaches waking up from our old mattress that we could barely walk when we got out of bed. Since getting the Tempurpedic mattress, neither of us suffer from backaches any longer. We sleep more soundly and wake more rested too.

This is the third rendition of the Tempur-Pedic products we have owned and I love this mattress! I am always cold and needed several covers to be warm but this bed keeps me at a moderate sleep temperature and I need fewer covers. My husband has the Cool Breeze as he is a hot sleeper. We are most satisfied with our sleep system now.

I previously had a Tempurpedic mattress for 7 years that I had loved but for the last year found very uncomfortable do to sinking area where my hips lay. > purchased a new mattress and I love it.! I sure hope it last longer than my previous one do to the cost!

I have to admit, I've never really thought about my mattresses. However now I am a true believer. Who knew a piece of foam would be my salvation? The Tempur Luxe Adapt comes in two different styles: soft or firm. I chose the firm. And while the bed truly is firm, the memory foam or Tempur-Pedics's Tempur Material gives way to adjust to your body. It's like sinking into a cloud. And while the mattress accommodates and conforms to your body, your partner remains undisturbed. It's the bed's motion cancellation in action so they don't feel your movement. This is truly an added bonus especially if your partner tends to shift around a lot at night. Almost immediately, I found I was getting much better sleep and wasn't waking up with a stiff lower back. I can't tell you how I look forward to crawling under the covers every night. The downside? I really miss my bed when I travel. These days, hotel beds just don't seem to measure up.

We purchased split king..have it now for a month adjusting period for our bodies on this mattress was almost 2 weeks-as this was our first foam mattress...almost gave up on it if I wasn't advised "give it to time" from our sales gentleman. Purchased firm bc of back problems...(we both under 200 lb)no pain after waking up-THANK YOU! One star down-there is still chemical odor coming from mattresses..
