I like my ultra because I can hook it up with an ethernet cable vs Wi Fi, the remote feels a little cheaper then the one that came with my older ultra, my biggest hang up with Roku in general is that you still can't operate a sound system with there remotes, If I could it would for sure be a 5 star .

The Roku is easy to install, easy to use, and saves money in the long run. I used to have satellite and have completely switched over and saved over 50% per month. There is no difference in the picture and it is more consistent and works regardless of the weather (we usually have problems in Alaska with cloud cover and storms due to the location of the satellites).

I have been using Roku products for several years. I think I've gone through 5-6 of them in multiple rooms in my house. I have issues with a few things - 1. I don't like the "Live" menu at the top of the streaming hubs - I suspect there is a way to remove that in the menu, but it seems too much (that's a software issue) 2. The front light is really bright—too bright. Generally, the brightness was that high only when rebooting, so I find it a bit distracting. 3. I did have an issue with my universal remote and the new Roku. That may be an issue with the remote, so I'm not sure if that's a real issue - I do use a work around. Basically the Roku player was accepting the input from the remote even when it wasn't selected as the device in use. All in all, I like it quite a bit. What would be really nice is if you folks would manufacture a universal remote that controls other devices - one that my elderly mother would be able to use.

Audio randomly goes up or down. Reset is the only fix but happens several times within minutes. Issue has been reported for over a year. Roku support only offers suggestions totally unrelated. Or they repeated ask for the same details that have been repeatedly supplied. None of our other 3 roku devices have the issue

I bought this when I decided to cut the cable cord. The remote is awesome. It controls the tv so no more extra remotes required. The only thing they could do to improve it is if I it was lighted. It has two buttons dedicated to my favorite apps. No more searching and much quicker than accessing home to find the app. It's very quick and response is great. I was hesitant to go from cable to streaming only but there really isn't much difference with the Roku Ultra. I love it and highly recommend

Our house has been using roku for 5 or 6 years. Started with a roku tv for son's room, now We've eliminated all cable through out the house and only using roku. This newest box is probably the best besides the actual tv. Picture is so sharp and has lots of free stuff to chose from. If you have app services the possibility are endless. Highly recommend.

Superior happy with this magic box ! I’ve owned 2 tcl roku loaded tvs and love their format ! Just bought a tv that didn’t have Roku so …. I bought their best streaming box and love it you should too ! And Best Buy has great prices as well as people who can answer you questions ! Do it ! 😄 tv’s

Bought the Ultra thinking it would improve the viewing experience. Do not see any difference from the other (cheaper) Roku device that I have. This device even has an annoying glitch that happens periodically. Sometimes when I turn it on it emits a piercing sound that won't stop until the device is unplugged and reset.

Purchased model 4802 two weeks ago . Tried to get it to work for 7 hours (including 1 hour on chat with a clueless support person). Returned it and received a replacement unit. Got this one working in 20 minutes but it sometimes freezes such that I have to unplug it from the power receptacle for about a minute then plug it back in and restart at the home menu. Very irritating to say the least. Would not buy again!!

We were struggling with performance of our “smart“ TV. But the Roku to improve reception of Internet and streaming, and it exceeded our expectations. The screen looks better than it ever has and everything loads very quickly. The hook up of headphones to the remote comes in handy.
