I didn't know if I would like this product. I'm general dye and fragrance free with most of our laundry products. I also wasn't sure about how this would work but somehow, it does. The fragrance is nice and not overwhelming which is important. I recommend using on your athletics...our machine has a separate cycle for them and it's easy to still keep it separate from baby clothes but have the gym/soccer/dance stuff nice and fresh. The bonus is that the gym/dance bags all smell good too. Keep out of reach of kids! They look like dippin dots. I received a sample of this product free for testing and review. So I got these for free to try, and I absolutely love the way they make my clothes smell. I actually just went to the store and bought a full size product because I used up all of my free samples in like a day (yes, i know that's a lot of laundry #shopaholicprobs). If you're on the fence, I say go for it.

I loved these beads. The scent was perfect, not too strong and not too light. They were so easy to use. You just pop them in at the start of your laundry. I received them in the mail for free as a sample but I will be buying a full size at my next grocery visit.

I really love the Downy fresh protects, the beads keep your clothes so fresh. All I do is put them in my washer, then start the cycle, add the detergent. The Downy fresh protects make the whole house smell wonderful. Disclaimer: this product was sent to me for free

This product gives laundry such a nice, clean scent that lasts a long time. I was concerned at first about the scent being too strong or having some sort of reaction since my skin tends to be sensitive to strong laundry detergents, but I had no problem at all. I tested this product for free through Influenster and as soon as my samples were gone, I went out and purchased a full-size container. It's great to use for blankets, towels, sheets, etc.

These beads smell amazing! They are easy to use and you can add a few or a lot. I had used them on black clothes but will not do that again because they left softner spots on some and you had to run them through the wash again. I will only use them on our sheets because they make them smell great and I do not have to worry about leftover residue. I followed the instructions but they seem to work better with warm water loads but most lof my loads are cold water so they do not seem to dissolve as well. *i received these free for testing and reviewing from influenster.com. These April Fresh in wash Odor Shield scent pearls are just amazing smelling. They smell so good I want to stash some in my car to make it smell just as good. I used an unscented detergent, and could smell it working while the laundry was washing and when I opened it up to put it in the dryer, my spouse commented on how great the smell was from a room away! I love these, and will be definitely purchasing them in the future.

I'm a long time user of downy products so I was excited to try these. I've tried other laundry scent beads but none claim to have odor defense like this Downy product. I have some jeans that sometimes give off a metallic smell. I don't know if it's from the jeans themselves, being washed with my husbands work clothes, or what but using the Downy Fresh protect neutralized that odor and left the load of laundry smelling fresh, I highly recommend if you, like me, love to use those smelly beads and love the downy smell. I have to disclose I was given this product for my review but the review is my honest opinion.
