I don't like to use these in the wash because they don't always melt and sometimes halfway melt on the clothing so you have to re-wash. But they are great to put on carpet before vacuuming - makes the room smell great. So my rating is for use on the carpet. Only 1-2 stars for the laundry. It's like a match made in laundry heaven: Downy and Febreze! I love how easy it is to use that product. I just toss some of those pink magic beads and after the washing cycle I get greeted by wonderfully fresh and clean laundry. Even better is the fact that my washer itself smells better thanks to Downy's "wonder beads". I am so happy Influenster gave me free samples of Downy Fresh Protect in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I definitely will keep using it for my laundry.

The smell is amazing! I used to use a similar product and compared this one smells better. It doesn't leave a residue like previous products I've used. I received a sample for free and I'm glad I gave it a try. I will purchase this one in the future.

I received this product to trial and as soon as I opened the box the scent of the product hit me. It is a beautiful, calming scent that I was very eager to test out on my clothes. I really enjoyed the ease of using this product on top of of regular washing routine. The beads do add a nice smell to your whole load of laundry. I will be buying these regularly.

I immediately put some clothing in the washer and used Downy Fresh Protect April Fresh product, it is indeed a deodorant for your clothing. Your clothing will smell good after you wash them and after a full gym session. If you sweat a lot and tend to get smelly clothing, you should definitely use this product.

I received this product to test for free, and that's honestly probably the only way I ever would have tried it because it's definitely an "extra." After trying it though, I am so surprised and will be purchasing to add it to my normal laundry routine. As soon as my clothes came out of the washer, they smelled so fresh. I'm in love with these wonderful smelling beads!! I wash my dogs and cats blankets and toys, regularly, but nothing seems to get the smell out. I added the beads to my wash and VOILA!! The smell was gone. I WILL be buying them regularly. I can't wait to try them in the wash on my husbands' restaurant work clothes!!
