It is a decent laptop. There is no spec sheet but chatgpt can find a lot of specs. The memory is upgradable with 2 sodimm slots. The ssd is an nvme slot and keyed to work with sata. It comes with a sata ssd and 1 8gig ram chip. It only has 1 sata/nvme slot. Not a major gaming device but the benchmarks aren't bad.

Great computer for a senior, large screen. backlit keyboard and quick startup as under 10 seconds. lightweight and durable and good buttery life. Use it social media and do a fairy good amount of photo editing and works great, several free program's that are included. Up graded as had a 10 year old HP and no more support for windows 10, has plenty of USB ports and makes fir very quick downloads, only thing missing is a CD/DVD put can get an external if needed fir under $50. Love the screen size and graphics, wasn't that familiar with Gateway but no hesitation in recommending ... five out of 5 stars from me ...

So far just great. This is a replacement for my old Win10 laptop, which was getting very slow and took an hour to boot and settle down to be usable. When they say this boots in 9 seconds, they aren't kidding. It has a beautiful, large screen, big keyboard, huge touchpad with (I love it) fingerprint recognition. I had a large hard drive on my old one, which I only used a small part of, so this smaller (256) SSD is fine. If I need more, I can swap it, or just use one of my external SSD's for storage. I like that you can add up to two 16gb memory cards for a total of 32gb. I don't game or do a lot of multi-tasking, so I probably won't need more than what it has (8). The laptop is very fast - I don't notice any lag. For the money, I don't think you can beat this thing. Acer/Gateway is a good brand, and I am sure it will last many years, or until MS decides I need a new one again.

Can only use if student or lowest version of Microsoft is purchased or user has. Purchased this laptop for office use and our company has Microsoft Professional. Cannot get past login credentials without using a bogus email setting it up and loading Professional. I had to return.

If you want a computer that works, shop elsewhere. After I'd had it for a few months, I had problems with the computer randomly shutting down, then had to file an Allstate claim and send the computer in. When you file a claim, make sure you have a few hours. You have to chat with an AI to start the process and explain the issues, call Customer Service and explain the issue a few times, get directed back to the website to explain the issue yet again, and wait for them to tell you if they'll fix it or not. Refund will not be an option. It was fixed about 2 months ago, and I'm having to do the claims process again for a similar issue. Worst computer I've ever bought.
