My husband didn't realize that this was a free product for review, and he tried it with sausage and pancakes. He loved it and has used it every morning. I decided I'd try a little bit, and I actually liked it! It does have a little kick, but it's not overwhelmingly spicy. It made a great dipping sauce for chicken strips. What results is a good balance of flavors, none overpowering the other. It starts off immediately sweet like honey, and then the heat comes at the end, and builds the more you eat. So tastebuds suited for more mild heat can enjoy it, while also building up heat for those who like that. It is a little bit runnier than your standard honey, though, so be careful with pouring. Our family has enjoyed it most on deep fried chicken drumsticks and wings. Definitely something to eat with a fattier, crispier meat, or baked Brie. This would also go great on a charcuterie board.

I love using honey on my food and was really excited to give this a try. Right when I received it, I took off the protective seal and licked it. It took a moment to register but it has quite the little spicy kick. The honey is still smooth and clear with no flakes floating around in it. This was really good on chicken and I could see baking or grilling with it going well too. If you like spicy foods and sweet honey, this is great to have in your rotation.
