I've read several reviews and seen 3 main versions of problems: the spray doesn't kill the wasps, the spray doesn't reach far enough, or both. I'm sadly in the second group. I live in a 3-story apartment complex and there are 3 nests within my vicinity, one directly above my balcony and 2 hanging from the gutter about 8 and 12 feet away. I tore the tab off as directed and went for the one at the balcony first, firing from about 10 feet away. The spray didn't reach them. I got closer and they died although it took several seconds and some of them crawled from the nest a good ways down the roof post before dying and I destroyed the nest a couple days later. I was barely able to spray the closer of the two gutter nests and while I can't reach the nest to destroy it, I haven't seen any wasps on it since. The nest that is 12 feet away though is still a thriving wasp community. The spray is also a very unfocused stream and a lot of mist was just coming back at me, not due to any breeze, but just because it was randomly fluttering around and I was trying to hold the can high to help the range to no avail. I looked into the nozzle for some sort of obstruction and didn't see anything. I'll call the support number next week. A few years ago, I bought one of these when I lived in Texas and it was extremely effective with a nice strong stream and instantly killed the wasps. Something has changed for the worse.

Killed 10 wasp nest instantly, none escaped. Great range but I noticed it died off quick so gave it a shake and the pressure came right back to keep that distance going. Saw a few reviews saying range was off but if you aren't building pressure in the can then it does lose distance quick.

I sprayed the nest for a few seconds and then I ran . I came back to check after a few minutes and I didn't see any movements from the nest. The next day, I found 3 dead on the floor and there was still no activity on the nest so it definitely worked. I will be using this again because there are two spots where there tends to be nests.

I bought this product to spray on a wasp nest developing under a hardie plank siding board on my back deck. Two nights ago, my husband saturated what we could see of the nest with Raid Wasp and Hornet. Wasps continued going in and out of the nest. Last night and this morning, we did the same thing. We are still seeing live wasps. In fact, we have seen no dead wasps on the deck, so we are wondering if this product is just totally ineffective or if these are new wasps that we are seeing going in and out of the nest, and we are also wondering if they will be impacted at all by residual from the sprayings. It appears to be a small nest. If we can get rid of it on our own, that would be great. Any helpful advice is appreciated. I've included a pic taken through the window screen. The dark spot the arrow is pointing to is the bottom of the nest.

We discovered a Bald Faced Hornets in a tree that was about 5 feet off the ground and close to our cars, so we had to remove it. I waited until evening and sprayed the the entire nest starting with the opening. Wasp's trying to leave the nest never became airborne, which I'm thankful for. I used the entire can and soaked the nest, then went inside for the night. The next day showed no live activity. Any hornets that retuned to the nest died on the outside and remained there. In hindsight, I should have waited until night when most of the hornets had returned, but I don't see any activity anymore in the nest or the surrounding tree where it was located. About 4 larvae remained alive in the nest when I opened it. I burned the remains to complete the job. THANK YOU Raid for an effortless solution to this issue. I purchased this raid max foaming hornet & wasp killer and it works well. I like the foaming action as it seems to work faster than the old style sprays and it works to stop them from flying. This stuff works!! Every summer I fend off wasps from invading my patio. They like to nest in the overhang ceiling adjacent to my hummingbird feeders. The patio is a bountiful oasis of sugar water so they're going to make a go of it every year, I get it. But thanks to this black can of destruction I win back my territory. I clear the plants, feeders, and pets off the patio for a day and commence the nuking. It works instantly, but I like to let everything dry off and (as recommended on the can) whack the nests down the following day.

It is the first one I buy a Raid product for wasp . I did work very well , but couldn't come out of the can . A the end of the can ,months later , I realise a pin lock safety kind was blocking the hold ... THAN I seen on the back of the can the LITTLE info in a SMALL square . I did ask my self if a was DUMB or if the company is ... We are playing with WASPS here . No dought others been in that situation . MABY PUT SOMETHING RIGHT A THE SPRAY HOLD TO INDICATED . So we won't get bite ...

Made a special trip to purchase this product mainly because of the claim that it can reach 22 feet. There was a yellow jacket nest on the underside of my roof which is about 15 feet from the ground which I should have been able to reach. Just to be sure, I got up on a ladder (about 5') to the side so that I was not shooting directly up, holding the canister with my outstretched arm, standing on the second step from the top, I was about 10' from the nest. The spray did not come close to the nest, a slight breeze blew some of the mist toward the nest and the wasps scattered but none died. It was a total failure and I not only wasted my money but also the time and effort it took to drive to the store and make a concerted attempt to eradicate the nest.
