HP DeskJet 4158e All-in-One Wireless Color Inkjet Printer – 6 months free Instant Ink with HP+

My daughter and I love this printer.  We are teachers and the 6 months free ink and paper has really come in handy.

I bought this printer for some light print jobs while my main printer is in storage. It definitely gets the job done.

Good printer for the price

HP printer with scanner works well but there isn’t much ink in the cartridges. It’s nice to be able to photo scan.

Easy to setup. Good for quick home print, doesn't do double side. Does copies. Small amount paper feed.

The glass on it was broken and when I returned it there were no more so I had to get a different one.

Easy set up! Love the document  feeder and the opportunity to try the HP+ where they ship the ink to me. Good value for the money!

Good value

Like the remote print app, the fax thru smartphone and the ink delivery setups.  Double-sided print is the only feature it lacks. Great value.

Decent printer with full load of features.

Good price for a very basic printer. Was missing a lot of the functionality of a much older hp printer I needed to replace.

It serves it's purpose.

Poor print quality. There is a bit of a blur to the print. It is also extremely slow. Each page seems to take forever to print. When inserting the ink cartridges, I had to physically tug the print head out of the side of the machine. Typically when you open the door to that area the ink head slides to the center so you can insert or remove the ink cartridges. Not with this printer. That was the first sign of a poor quality printer. You get what you pay for. This is a relatively cheap printer at $90. Spend another $100 and get a better printer. This is the second HP printer I've had in the last 3 months. Not satisfied with either. I'll try a different brand next time.

Slow, poor print quality

My old, broken HP printer would only feed paper 1 sheet at a time. This 4158 is a great replacement. I already had an Instant Ink subscription with my old printer and HP made transferring the sub to the new printer really easy. They even apply the 6-months free offer to existing customers. I've had no issues and an enjoying the faster speed, better looks, and multi-page scanning.
