It helps. I have a small dog who has nothing but time to dig and this sure has stopped him. I'm glad i purchased the XL because anything smaller probably wouldn't do the job. Putting down is easy, that's the best part.

It took some strength to get it into the ground, so I suggest a mallet or hammer to ensure it's secure. So far our dog hasn't tried to dig where we put the two from this pack but we will definitely need more. A simple product that really does stop a nagging issue.

I got those to build a fence barrier for my dogs and it didn't work because of the size. Other than that is very very sturdy and strong.
