After my husband fell and fractured his pelvis our current mattress was too soft. Our sales person recommended the firm Pro-Adapt and it was amazing. SOLD! We also purchased the adjustable base for the mattress which we highly recommend. The first night with the mattress and base we slept 9 hours! The base has done wonders to keep my husband from snoring.

I have been sleeping in the zero gravity position, it is amazing, I wake up and nothing hurts! I honestly didn't think I would fall asleep in that position but I do, my back used to be in pain with our old mattress, no more with this one, so thanks ☺️

The jury remains out on my new Tempur-Pedic mattress. It replaced a hybrid from another manufacturer in its twelfth year of use that developed uncomfortable strike through to the quite firm support layers. The ProAdapt Hybrid was chosen simply because the in-store sample felt the most comfortable among the several hybrids and others on site. Despite the warning of the break-in requirement in the product literature, I found the first few days of use bordering on intolerable. With a week or two of additional use the mattress is becoming better to sleep on and I'm willing to withhold final judgement pending further break-in. I suspect my prior mattress was softer overall (and I'm older and creakier now), but I fondly recall the wonderful, enveloping support it provided during and after break-in. None of the in-store options at Mattress Firm offered this and, in the end, I may pursue adding a topper to try to recapture the feel of the prior mattress.

Before I would wake up, My back would be killing me and every joint in my body would hurt. Buying this is the best decision we could have made. It is not hot to sleep on. I do not toss and turn all night like I use to. I barely feel my husband move. I never thought I would sleep this well. I highly recommend this bed! We have not found any negatives yet.

You don't have that get in, sink really deep into it thing that you do with some fully foam mattresses. The give is, instead, just enough to be really, really comfortable. And it's great for cuddling: your arm doesn't fall asleep. In contrast, I find that I'm definitely getting better sleep on this mattress, and, I don't wake up sore anymore. It's pretty fantastic. I've also found that, compared to my previous spring mattress, I don't feel as much when my partner moves or shifts in the night. I dare say this mattress is even more comfortable than a hammock, and that's saying something. One concern I had with a foam mattress was how warm it would be. Well, my fears turned out to be unjustified: even in an apartment with no air conditioning, in an unusually hot August, I had no trouble with overheating, and I definitely sleep on the warm side. I think this is due to the fact you don't end up sinking into, and being encapsulated in, the mattress. The only downsides I found with this mattress were minor. First, when it arrived, it definitely had a pretty strong plastic smell to it. Fortunately this dissipated after a few days. The other thing I discovered is that, if you don't have sheets that are big enough for the mattress depth, they really don't work! With my old mattress, slightly smaller sheets still gripped the side of the mattress fine. This one, though, has so much give in it that I kept waking up completely wrapped in the bottom sheet! This was rectified by purchasing some sheets that actually fit the 12 inch deep mattress--- but it's a good thing to know beforehand.

This is our second temper-pedic mattress. The first mattress we purchased several years ago is now used in our guest bedroom. For some unknown reason, we (wife and I) convinced our self to replace the master bed mattress with a competitors product (air mattress). We had purchased extra bed sheets and even though we never open the package the dealer would not give a reimbursement after 90 days. This was 3-years ago. Big mistake! We had enough sleepless nights and decided to revisit a temper-pedic dealer. Don't we swayed so take my advise and stick with what you know and trust. This is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. It is high quality. If you're looking for a "memory foam" type of bed, Tempurpedic is the best. This bed was a replacement for a Tempur-Deluxe bed that was 10 years old and worn out (no bed will last forever). When this one is past its life cycle, I'm sure I'll replace it with another Tempurpedic bed. I love the new temperature regulating cover on this bed, as it helps keep me cool when I sleep. I would definitely recommend this bed to anyone.

So my ultimate heaven of a mattress has had a long back story. I started with the cloud - and I liked it ok (definitely is soft) but it was not supportive enough (I have back pain). I returned it online and then bought the Adapt Medium Hybrid from their Tysons Virginia store. It was excruciating to deal with their online support people and when the delivery company finally came (after a lot of back and forth with Tempur customer service) the company told me they have no documentation about needing to pick up the old mattress (after my confirming with the Tempur multiple times) but they were willing to take it away - after giving them an extra $40 on the side! So - the adapt hybrid helped my back but my shoulder started hurting, I wasn't wild about the bounce, but I would have kept it if it wasn't causing pain- I had it for a couple of weeks tried a topper (helped my shoulder but then my back would hurt). Because I had done a return to online and purchase in store, and my family knew of the bed difficulties, I was offered the additional money as a birthday present and bought the Pro-adapt Medium (which felt perfect when I tried it in the store). I started reading these reviews only after ordering and was terrified it would be too hard given all the reviews. But - it came at last yesterday, at first it was ok but a little firm (and very cold) - I sped up the softening by adding an electric blanket for a few hours. And I have to say this bed is THE BOMB. I'm on a tight budget, and I really think Sealy could easily perform some obvious belt tightening (their processes are necessarily cumbersome, outmoded and there seem to be countless people employed who are rather unhelpful (honestly clueless and useless and I don't say this lightly). But after all the frustration, and the insane amount of money they charge (plus the 2xs paying their obnoxious $175) I can say the Pro-Adapt Medium is worth it - it is truly a doughy oasis - no pain at all - perfect softness and yumminess, but also supportive.

The tempur-pro adapt mild hybrid is firm enough to be comfortable for me, but soft enough that my wife is still very happy with it. You can feel a solid base within the mattress but that feels balanced by a very soft top.
