Had a Tempurpedic medium firm queen before this split king. Also purchased the adjustable bases. The adjust-ability is fantastic. It allows me to find the sweet spot to get a restful night sleep. The only issue we have had so far is the break in time required. At first the firm was too firm, but now three weeks later it is starting to conform better. Overall we are very happy with the mattress.

I suffer from chronic back pain and fatigue from a herniated disc in my lower back. I have tried a few different mattresses in the past to relieve this pain but none helped. Most were too soft or not firm enough, I would literally toss and turn all nigh trying to get comfortable. But once I purchased my Tempur- Pro Adapt Firm mattress all my discomfort and restless nights ended. I was able to get a goodnights sleep waking up feeling rested and energetic. I'am completely satisfied with my new mattress I only wish I had gotten it sooner it has totally changed my life and my nights for the better.

I really hate to give a poor review but I just cannot get a good night's sleep on this mattress. I wake with aches and pains every morning and some mornings with a headache. I do not feel rested because I toss and turn throughout the night. I made the mistake of purchasing the mattress from somewhere other than Tempur-Pedic and cannot get them to honor the exchange/refund process that Tempur-Pedic provides. Highly recommend that Tempur-Pedic sell their own mattress in order to allow customers to utilize the exchange/refund which keeps customers happy even if they are not happy with the mattress.

Product is different than any mattress ever slept on. Probably would choose medium rather than firm next time. Is taking some time to adjust to my body, but totally love that you sleep ON this mattress and not IN it. I think this mattress will still provide a comfortable night's sleep years from now as opposed to getting less and less comfortable like other mattresses. Would recommend this mattress to anyone buying a new one, but need to understand the first few weeks your body is adjusting to a different sleep experience.

The mattress felt very firm from the start. It is not softening nearly as much as I want - it's still not like the showroom mattress or the two different soft tempur pedic mattresses I've slept on in the past. I'm 3 1/2 weeks in to the 'break in' period and I hope it improves soon. I'm disappointed - I was really looking forward to a great experience.

Does not relieve pressure points or give you a good sleep experience. I started complaining to Living Spaces where we bought it after a couple of months and was told it takes awhile to adapt and give it 3 months, then 6 months then sorry you'll have to take it up with Temperpedic Warranty Department. They told me how sorry to hear of my bad experience and to take a bunch of pictures and send in but if mattress didn't have 3/4 inch depression they would not replace it. Wear is uneven not that severe of depression but uneven wear all over mattress which leads me to believe support is not good. When we bought mattress I was lead to believe body heat made foam conform to body and then spring back. This is after less than 2 years and me being 165 pounds and my husband 195 pounds! We went and bought a Temperpedic pillow topper hoping that might help and it just shows big depression on both sides where we sleep. We took it off to get pictures of mattress and found the foam on the topper is cracked in several spots. No wonder we're not getting good support. I wonder if the inside of mattress shows the same deterioration! I wake up after a couple of hours with hip hurting and my shoulder had become extremely painful. I went to Orthopedic doctor and X-ray shows tendinitis in rotator cuff likely causing pain. Not doing any sports, lifting or consistent motion to cause this. My back pain is worse also. I wouldn't call that a real great nights sleep!!! .

These mattresses are not what they once were before. I started off with a medium firm, it was too firm and caused sharp pain on my elbows and shoulders. Then I was steered towards the soft; which turned out to be too soft, it feels like a cheap 20 year old mattress with no support at all, I literally sleep in a bowed position. Because of the lack of support, I filed a warranty claim under the impression I received a faulty product, the warranty chose to deny my claim after making me hop through hoops of fire for them. (warranty literally wants you to take a picture of the whole mattress with no sheets, a straight edge on it and a quarter in between the straight edge and the mattress at specific angles, multiple times I explained to them the integrity is faulty not the actual physical shape) Because of this faulty/poor mattress I have developed a constant subtle lower back pain. I'm out of my house 3-6 nights a month, and the nights I don't sleep on my Tempur Pedic I wake up with no pain on my back and actually somewhat rested, I have come to dread sleeping on this mattress. Tempur Pedic has no timeless classic of a product, their lineup is all propaganda. Their mattresses bottom out at varying points depending on the firmness and when they do it is the equivalent of concrete not clouds. The competition has caught up to Tempur Pedic, they are no longer what they once upon a time were. A consumer can buy a mattress of a fraction of the cost with a topper and have a better quality sleep. Until further notice I'm stuck with this mattress because I financed it and cannot simply throw it out. Neither Tempur Pedic, the box store I bought it from are willing to hold themselves accountable for this poor product. You have been warned.

It was a rough first two days on the mattress. It felt like a brick. BUT after those first two days, it molded with my body and I now sleep sooooo well! The pillows are great too. This is my second tempurpedic mattress and pillows and I can say that they have made some serious improvements to these new products. My body doesn't get so hot on it anymore either with their new pro-adapt technology. The pillows are definitely cooler and lighter. Love it! I'm very very happy with the purchase.

It took me about a week to get used to this mattress. The first night I could hardly fall asleep, and then the next few nights it took longer than normal, and I worried I had made an expensive mistake. But now that I'm used to it I'm sleeping much better than I did before and my back & neck pain have diminished.

We love our Tempurpedic-Pro Adapt Firm mattress. The first night we laid down in it and tried it we thought....oh no, we shouldn't have gotten the firm version, it's too hard!. But within a few seconds, the mattress perfectly envelopes your back and hips for a restful and supported night's sleep. This performance by the mattress has continued every night since without disappointment. I love how I can't feel my husband get in or out of bed or toss and turn....we both bought the Tempurpedic Cool Breeze PIllows that were offered as a BOGO deal with the paperwork that was delivered with the mattress. Finally, the mattress fit perfectly on our existing frame and we always have the option to purchase the adjustable base in the future. Thank you Tempurpedic!
