[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been checking out the Samsung Q990D, and honestly, it’s one of the best all-around soundbar systems out there right now. It’s a full 11.1.4-channel setup with a big soundbar, subwoofer, and rear speakers, so you get that proper Dolby Atmos effect with sound coming from all directions. Movies feel huge and immersive, and dialogue is really clear. What stands out is that it has HDMI 2.1 with 4K at 120Hz passthrough, which makes it perfect if you’re into gaming on next-gen consoles. The sound is dynamic, weighty, and detailed, and I love how it really fills the room. That said, it’s not perfect. The bass can sometimes feel a little too heavy or boomy, and the rear speakers don’t always stay as active as you’d expect unless you tweak the setup. The front display is also tiny and hard to read, and it doesn’t have Chromecast or auto-calibration, which I think should be standard at this price. Overall though, if you want a true cinematic experience at home, the Q990D is a powerhouse. It’s pricey, but you’re getting one of the most complete soundbar packages available today.

The only flaw and I can’t find a solution is sometimes if there’s say a door knock on a show it sounds like it’s far away. It’s hard to describe, but the speakers are way low for that particular sound. I’m using Earc connection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this for my primary entertainment system to sync with my Samsung 65" Crystal QLED TV. This arrived in a single, large box that was about 6 feet by 1 foot by 3 feet high. Set up was incredibly simple- I just took the speakers out of the box and plugged them in. No wires to the TV. Once plugged in it connected to the TV via bluetooth with perfect fidelity. No problems capturing the surround channels with bluetooth. The Subwoofer has it's own volume control which is great to boost at lower volumes. The system is incredibly powerful, at 1/3 volume my house begins to shake. I can't imagine taking this thing all the way. I am very happy with my purchase and I will never need to replace this system.

This system replaces a Vizio 5.1 wireless surround sound of that turned out to be so bad that I just threw it in the trash. The sound on that unit was okay but it continuously had a popping and cracking sounds on two different units that I tried. Unboxing was a good experience and a setup was very simple. There are power cords for the two surround speakers, the subwoofer, and the sound bar. Everything is wireless. I have my PlayStation 5 and Nvidia shield connected to the soundbar with HDMI 2.1 and a HDMI 2.1 cable ( provided ) via Arc. Most all configuration was pretty automatic. I still need to it gets stands to place the speakers properly and use the app to properly tune it using a microphone. So far I am very satisfied with this quality system.

However, the sound stage and spatial sound is lacking. You don't feel surrounded such as you would think. Otherwise, I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT!

I wanted a top notch sound system that had Dolby ATMOS capability and I really wanted a subwoofer and rear speakers to make it complete. After lots of research I chose this Samsung HW-Q990D 11.1.4ch Dolby ATMOS Soundbar with subwoofer and rear speakers and so glad I did. The system fully integrates with the TV, and the subwoofer combined with the rear surround sound speakers provides the ultimate "movie theater" experience - in MY HOME! The unit also comes with a nice remote that allows me to control everything, including how much THUMP I want from my subwoofer. I would highly recommend this soundbar and would make the same purchase if I had to do it again!

The sound that they produce is incredible! I would personally put it up against much more expensive and more tricky to install Home Theater Setups with top notch speakers and multiple thousand dollar Receivers!
