I am using it for watching 4K movies and NFL Football and it disappoint at all. Love the sounds like rain drops or helicopter blades coming from the rear two speakers creating a unique experience of sound traveling from left to right and front to back. This product pairs perfectly well with my Samsung triple laser 4K projector with little to no wiring at all. All in all, a wonderful product.

This is hands-down one of the best soundbars I’ve ever owned. The 11.1.4 channel setup delivers true surround sound with room-filling audio that puts you right in the center of the action. Setup was straightforward—everything synced seamlessly with my Samsung TV via Q-Symphony. The sound is crystal clear, with powerful bass from the subwoofer and incredible vertical dimension from the up-firing speakers. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X content sounds phenomenal, whether I’m watching a movie or playing games. Music playback is equally impressive. Clean mids, solid low-end, and enough clarity for detailed vocals or instrumentals. Streaming via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is also smooth with zero dropouts. The only downside? It’s a bit pricey—but you absolutely get what you pay for in terms of premium build, immersive sound, and seamless smart features. If you’re serious about your home theater audio, the Q990D is absolutely worth it.

It makes listening to spatial audio significantly more immersive than with a basic 2.1/5.1 soundbar, and is obviously far superior to TV built-in speakers. I do think the audio could be better calibrated for music, however, as the vocals tend to sound tinny and we lack full control over equalization in some surround modes. Finally, I wish the satellite speakers were easier to mount. In particular, it would be great if they had bottom mounts so that they could be secured to more modern-looking bookshelf stands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great sound when it works.after update the sound quits have to unplug sound bars for 3 to 4 minutes then it will work again for about 2 days then unplug and plug in again.called customer support got nowhere and they didn't speak good English hard to understand. Never buy another Samsung product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soundbar offers good surround sound with ok bass. Always better than having just a TV to push out the sound. Have always had trouble with the Amazon Alexa part of this soundbar and could never configure that correctly to get the functionality of the Alexa to power on the TV for example. One other thing to add: no fault of the length of the soundbar, however because of the unevenness of the studs behind my drywall I was unsuccessful to be able to center the soundbar to be wall mounted under the TV so on top of the TV stand it goes. Best investment for any OLED TV or QLED TV and works with well with Samsung SmartThings app.

While watching football, you can hear the spatial audio with the announcers and game on the front soundbar, but what blew me away is that the rear speaker focus on the sound of the crowd, which feels so immersion like you are at the game. I had a Q600B with rears as my main sound for watching movies in my living room. Recently I purchased the Q990D, and this thing is huge, the rears are twice as big compared to the ones I had before. I can hear voices clearly, birds in the background I have never heard before. Example, I was watching 1917 and in the scene a quarter into movie where the plane flies over head, I promise you it really did feel and sound like it was flying over head. Best purchase I have ever made.

I have it coupled with my 85" Samsung TV and use the Q Symphony. I love it so much that I will slowly be replacing my other TV/Soundbars with the same set up, just with different size TVs
