Wanted smooth inside not rough

Confused about other low ratings. You do know you need to oil pan after every washing %26 immediate hand drying? I heat pan then lightly oil with Avocado oil.

Terrible everything sticks in it

I love Tramontina products, and this one is no exception! It comes pre-seasoned, I always re-season it after use. Steaks, veggies, roasts - these can handle any. Thank you Tramontina team for another great product! I love rustic look by the way…

Just out of the box, they are beautiful, heavy, therefore I was convinced of the quality until the 1st hand wash, the brown color came off, yep, I dried them with a paper towel to prove my point, and the inside had become discolored, without even being used, maybe I got a defective one but still beware!

I really like these pans. I used one the 1st time to cook a ribeye steak and it was the best I had ever tasted! However, since the texture of the pan isn't smooth it catches lint from the towel when drying it. And now I have lost the washing instructions (only used twice). I wish the washing instructions were right here. Please help! I know they can't sit in water or be put in the dishwasher. How do you dry them since the interior of the pan is rough?

Impressive quality and well packaged. It's my first time to use cast iron skillet.After my cooking for edamame mixed with ground pork, the taste is way better than what I expected.Truly enjoy my new skillet set, the only downside is that the cast iron skillet is heavier than other material one, it's certainly worthy for cooking.

Extremely rough surface. Seasoned per instructions, hand washed and dried after using. Everything stuck to it, extremely hard to clean. Paper towels shred when trying to season or dry.

Cast iron pans really improve with use and care, but I was impressed with these right out of the box. It feels solid, durable, and cooked my food evenly. It was nice to have these two sizes as well. If you’re looking for your first cast iron pan, this is a solid choice. FYI pizza cooks really well in these!

I spent over two weeks cooking with these pans before this review. Very sturdy pans. The handle covers are very convenient and great at keeping heat from transferring. The initial seasoning is convenient but don’t take that for “non stick”. First fried egg test did stick. But after a couple more rounds of seasoning and proper care my fried eggs cook great!
