I bought this generator for camping and for the potential to power my house in an emergency. I have used it camping and it easily powered my AC cooling unit and all my other 120v needs. The generator noise is about what I expected for this size. I used it with both gasoline and propane, which was a nice option.

Generator arrived on a truck. I am 77 years old. Asked the driver to put the generator in my garage. He said against company policy. He sat the generator 2 inches from inside my garage. Big problem for me. Generator very low to the ground and hard to find the switches. Did not come with wheels to roll. Had to purchase them separately and install. Would not have purchased this type generator if I had known it was so low to the ground.

What stood out for me was the quality of everything including the packaging, the excellent and well-written manual and the craftmanship of the unit. It took a very short time to go from setup to getting it running. The accessories make it easy and convenient to use.

We hooked up and started the generator following all instructions upon arrival. I worked! We were very excited as our last older generator finally died on us and we were without power for 5 days. Very happy to have a little piece of mind back...fast forward 1.5 months; power out - we weren't worried as we just got a new generator! Which now that we needed it, would not start no matter how many times we tried, followed all instruction and troubleshooting tips, etc. Thankfully that power outage only lasted a few hours as did the few that followed. Now that the weather is a bit warmer and it is not windy and raining we have tried again...to no avail : ( Time to contact Westinghouse and hope for a positive outcome!

Out of the box, the generator was missing the instructions / Quick Start guide, so that was a bit confusing. Once I read through the documentation online, I encountered two problems: 1) The generator's electric start was non-functional. This is a huge bummer because I had hoped to have this hooked up to my house's propane supply, and transfer switch, so I could start it with a few button presses from inside as opposed to having to go outside in the rain. 2) The AC power produced by the unit is INSANELY 'dirty'. I'm not surprised it isn't perfect, but I am a bit upset that my inverter-charger, which is very tolerant of things, seems to be unable to charge from this thing appropriately. :( Even plugging in a basic, plain old desk fan to this unit causes the desk fan to become noisy and groan weirdly. At least the support person I spoke with was fairly nice, so that's a plus. Hopefully if they're able to resolve my issues I can revise this review!

After Hurricane Helene we decided to buy this generator and I’m very satisfied with a purchase other than the fact that the wheels do not come with the generator. There are also are no instructions on how to buy them. Wheels shouldn’t be that expensive that they should be added into the price of this product.

I live in upstate NY and the winters here are known to be brutal sometimes. In recent years we lost power few times and even though it did not last for weeks at a time like in other parts of the country it lasted long enough to make my house cold enough to make it impossible to tolerate. But that is a think of the past since I bought this Westinghouse generator. The price was great (even for my limited resources), it come well packaged with no damage, it took me only ten minutes to assemble it and it started with just three pulls of the cord even for the first time ever. Even the noise level was lower that I expected and I don't have to apologize to my neighbors when I run the unit for hours. Very happy with it so far.

The Generator came as expected. It was an easy set up and start up. Grateful the wheel frame was already attached. I have started it with ease from the remote and it performed perfectly. I have not had to use it yet for power outage but believe it will do great.

Bought this weekend because our city had a disaster. Got it home and ran great and loads of power. Only complaint was the hose connecting the propane regulator to the motor was not connected. Propane would not work until I discovered that. Once I screwed it on, it worked great too. I am running a fridge, some lights, a TV and my computer. It is humming along.

Bought this at beginning of 2024 hurricane season in So. Fla. Has power and features I expect that I will need in event of any power outage ...like the one I had due to a lightning strike while repairs were done on my house and property by the power company. I know what I was without for several hours at a time over a months time. Should have gotten this gen then.
