I have a pond within steps of my backyard. The mosquitos made it impossible to be outside. My yard is rather small so this size may have been overkill but it works wonderfully! I use the dusk to dawn option and we have been able to enjoy our patio again! Would highly recommend.

I am very sensitive to mosquito bites. Am very happy that I can now go out on my porch without coating myself with Deet. No bites since placing the stinger in service

Massive floods here in early Spring and lots of standing water remains. When you'd step in the back deck, it felt like you walked into feathers because there were so many mosquitoes....I can go out now and never get bothered!! It's amazing! This picture is just from 2 days running.

The BK510 did a fantastic job attracting and killing bugs and mosquitos in particular. The product info did suggest to give the unit time to kill them off and I’d say within 2 weeks we could tell a very noticeable difference in our large, fenced backyard.

Dependable. Does a great job.

Great at killing mosquito's.

i bought this to kill mosquitoes around my home in Plano, TX, and while it does get some, it seems to attract and kill more moths. While some of the kills fall out the bottom, it still requires cleaning the grids every few weeks depending on kills and types of insects. The moths tend to clog it quicker. Harder to see the mosquitoes. I found it cleans fairly quickly using compressed air. Since Stinger recommends placing 25 feet away from your patio, I bought a 7- foot (84-in Vigoro) "shepherds hook" (plant hanger) from Home Depot for about $16 and put it in a back yard flower bed near a fence. I can now easily move it to another location if needed PROVIDED I have AC power available and an outdoor rated extension cord to connect to the 10-inch cord on the unit. Also, you might want to know the green LED light stays on 24-hr even though you set the Stinger for Dusk-to-Dawn operation (which controls the UV light). I had to call customer service and they actually did not know this until the service rep did some checking.

After reading a stellar, local newspaper article rating this as one of the most effective mosquito kill systems available, I immediately ordered one online. We plugged it in WITH the optional bait tab as directed. There was zero immediate change. We left it plugged in and running for a good, honest, week-long test, which ended this morning. Although there are moth carcasses burned against the light, still zero results for mosquitos. I'll be returning the product. For perspective, this is coming from mid-town Tucson, where Egyptian mosquitos are thick and incessant. We tried. The mosquitos won.

I've owned a Stinger Bug zapper for over 15 years and loved it. I got this thing and it was like a toy, built for looks. It does not kill alot of bugs - Returned and got a Flowtron and liked it

I bought this model in 2015. It worked fine one summer then the light wouldn't come on. I figured the bulb was bad and needed replaced since the small green light worked and it still zapped bugs. We moved the following spring and this weekend I finally got around to getting a replacement bulb. The new bulb would not come on either so after much googling I came to the conclusion that the florescent bulb starter is bad. Of course there is no replacement parts list in the manual and the trouble shooting offers no help so in the trash it went. Pretty sad to spend almost $100 on something that only lasted one summer. Dont buy this, it's a piece of garbage. Best place for it is the trash.
